The property was just what our group was looking for. The inside of the house was beautiful and made us feel right at home. Wonderful location in Blue Ridge!
We enjoyed our stay tremendously! Although we couldn’t use the master tub, the double shower was a hit! Every bed was spacious. Had everything you need for kids to dogs!

Spring break
The space was great. Enjoyed the outside fire place and fire pit.
Overall a beautiful place. A few things that needed attention; one of the sofas needs to be repaired or replaced due to frame being broken. The lamp in the bedroom off the kitchen to the right could not be turned off. There was no faucet/handles for the tub in the large main bathroom. We all enjoyed our time there and hope to go back in the future.
Lonesome Dove provides a combination of high-end finishes and quality craftsmanship with a convenience factor to downtown that can't be rivaled. Our family enjoyed every inch of the home, including the lovely outdoor screened porch and fire pit. The kitchen was the nerve center of our home, and we enjoyed working together to make meals. Even though the property is not in the mountains, it's close proximity to shops and the downtown area of Blue Ridge more than made up for it. Situated on more than five acres, we enjoyed the privacy that the home afforded us; we will be back for sure and give give five stars to Lonesome Dove!

Not the best cabin for a summer stay
This cabin was nice and roomy for our large group but, I would never rent this one again.
We stayed for six days and during those six days, some of the rooms never cooled down - the master bedroom was a big issue. It's not that the a/c didn't work, it just didn't work well enough. There are small, independent 'units' in each room and with the large rooms and high ceilings it just wasn't enough to be comfortable.
The sofa in the living room was only part of a sectional - the chaise lounge in the pictures was gone and the parts that remained weren't attached to anything so, every time someone sat on it, it would slide apart.
The waterfall was more of a water puddle. Even though it rained several days, it never filled up - because of the low water, the motor that ran the waterfall made terrible noises so we pretty much didn't run it at all.
The kitchen is really great to cook in - our family cooks - a lot. If you plan to do a lot of cooking, bring your own supplies - mixing bowls, cooking utensils, platters - as it is not very well stocked with those kinds of things.
We rent cabins 3-4 times a year - while there was nothing terrible here, there were too many small issues.
This house is Beautiful. We didn't like that there was no access to the downstairs from inside the main house. Dishes should be more updated. Windows were dirty. All in all the house should have been cleaner.
The house is beautiful! The location is not great if you are wanting to stay in the mountains. The cabin was about 3 miles from the center of town. The downstairs room does have access to the main house without going outside. We arrived and had no hot water for 24 hours. We were not compensated in anyway. While the house appeared clean, the floors were nasty.
