Our three generation family (ages ranging from 15 to 70) had a great time at this cabin. We loved the riverside location which felt remote but not too far from necessities and fun attractions.
This property was perfect for our family-right on the Toccoa River
Great fishing and tubing!
Super close to Blueridge and restaurants.
We had a Great time!
Lovely home completely renovated! Great location directly on the river. Very relaxing and peaceful. Easy drive to Blue Ridge. Highly recommend and hope to return soon!
Property was beautiful! The house has been completely renovated and the location is unbelievable!! The house is just a few feet from the River so it captures all the beauty and sounds of the water. Super convenient to downtown Blue Ridge, Vineyards, Hiking Trails and Fishing as well.
The location was wonderful! The river made it serene and peaceful great for families wanting to spend quality time together away from their busy lifestyles. Besides a few scratches from nonstick baking ware, pots and pans and a foul odor coming from one bedroom sink overall cabin was fairly clean and our experience was good. Karla our host was great at communication and responding.
The deck was the selling point for us as we knew that was where we would spend the majority of our time! Although it rained two days, the covered decks protected us from getting wet and saved the day! The rushing river, the fireplace where we toasted marshmallows on the lower deck, the hot tub, plenty of seating inside, comfortable beds.... our family enjoyed our stay tremendously. There is a wonderful restaurant across the river, Toccoa Riverside, we recommend highly. Cabin was clean, the WiFi was flawless, when in the area we would reach out to rent this location again!
House is right on the water which makes a wonderful view and the sound of the river is so smoothing. We enjoyed the firepit and the kids enjoyed the water. We spent most of our time on the deck and around the fire pit. The house is so cute. Communication with the host was easy and smooth.
The home was great, comfortable. Beautiful spot on the river.
Fire pit for s'mores which is a must for my granddaughters. Plenty of hiking trails and kayaking on the river.
This house is absolutely gorgeous. The riverviews are breathtaking. It was very easy to contact the owners. I had an amazing, relaxing time sitting on that gorgeous deck overlooking the river. It actually has a pretty strong current so I had to be really careful with the dogs- just keeping them at the edge. But if you want to go tubing down the river, the flow is perfect. King bed was heavenly!
Our family of 5 had an amazing time at this Toccoa River house! There are two main level bedrooms which worked perfect for my older Mom. The basement level was great for kids with two sets of bunks. The boys pulled a few trout out of the river and it was close enough to town to be super convenient! The house was well stocked, the bedding was great, the beds were comfortable and the towels were also great! We cooked dinner two out of our five nights and we had everything we needed pots/pans/utensils wise to make dinner and dessert! The fire pit was great as was the outdoor and indoor fireplaces! Well def be back!
This cabin was a peaceful getaway that allowed our extended family of 7 (ages77-15yr) to enjoy all Blue Ridge had to offer! Nearby hikes, town, tubing & rafting were all a plus. River access meant we could cool off at our own doorstep. The cabin had excellent bedding options and we slept better than we do at home! Only thing that I’d say for future renters is:
1) no fenced yard or gates on decks for pets or young kids. This was not a problem for us, but it did list on rental site. Next time we’d bring longer leash/rope so dogs had more freedom on decks.
2)interior stairs are steep. If I had younger kids/toddlers I would have requested baby gates.
3) when you go over the river make sure you turn left and not right on the road.
This cabin was everything we needed & is very attractive while not being over the top fancy! You can relax and enjoy the home. Tubers passing by kept yelling “we love your house”!
The house is very nice. It really does have everything you could need! It is pretty quiet, which is perfect for listening to the river. There are houses nearby but with the trees, it feels very private. While the house isn’t as large as it appeared in pictures, it was more than enough for our family. We loved the spacious deck and made good use of the nice grill. The furnishings were nicer than I’ve seen in many rentals. We took waterproof covers to make sure that if our dogs snuck up on the sofa, the nice material would be safe. There is a great game room and indoor / outdoor serving bar on lower level, near the wood burning fireplace. There were a few minor things that made me rate this a 4 instead of 5. They’re easy to address. 1) when we arrived, the firewood we’d ordered hadn’t arrived. We had to contact the property company and ask for it to be delivered. No one replied, but a nice guy came by the next day with it. Not a huge deal; it was just disappointing when we wanted to do a firepit the first night after our long drive. 2) cleaning could be better. There was rice and sugar or salt spilled on the countertop. Housekeeping must have skipped part of the kitchen to miss that. The dining table had some sticky spots. It took 2 good wipe downs for us to be able to use it. The hot tub was filthy. 2 of our party had changed into swimsuits and opened the hot tub to find a dirty mess. Instead of telling guests to pour in cleaning powder after use, try cleaning between guests
This was a very enjoyable stay with our children and grandchildren so many fun things to do ! The weather and the air was so refreshing We enjoyed activities at all three rivers and also enjoyed time around the bonfire outside of home and enjoying good meals together !
Terrific location near tubing, hiking, and only 10 minutes from town and the Marina. Very well equipped home with grill, hot tub, wonderful deck for entertaining, good internet, ping pong, and fire pit for smores! Could not have picked a better place.
