Pretty awesome place to stay. The view is beautiful. A couple of things i wish i knew before going wanted a real fireplace all gas inside. Other than that the house was gorgeous.
This cabin was everything we needed to relax and reset! As busy working moms, we needed a BREAK! This set up was perfect for my girlfriends and I! The outdoor seating area with the fireplace is just PERFECT! They had the wood ready and perfectly split for you and they even restocked the wood pile while we were there! The beds are very comfortable and the showers are excellent in every room! We took a walk to the river and sat, it was a hike but well worth it! It was so peaceful and refreshing! THIS ONE IS THE ONE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR! BOOK IT!
We absolutely loved this cabin! It sat high above the water but had very easy access. The cabin had plenty of room for our adult children and grandchildren and each room having its on bathroom was great too! We can’t say enough good things about our stay here!
This was the perfect property for our family of 5. Plenty of room, comfortable beds, awesome outdoors. The game room, hot tub and outside fireplace were highly entertaining. My boys loved playing in the creek. It’s quite a hike back up, but the wooden steps make it so easy. Would highly recommend staying here.
We had three couples and we had a great time. The sound and view of the stream below was great. Jacuzzi was clean and worked great. This is a beautiful property. Close to nearby stores , yet sucluded.
Perfectly situated right on Fightingtown Creek. Easy access to Blue Ridge and surrounding area. The cabin was clean, quaint and full of thoughtful touches. Communication was simple and fast and we had no issues. We especially loved the outdoor fireplace and sitting area as well as sitting on the many decks listening to the flowing water. We had an incredible time in a beautiful and unique cabin home!
Great weekend in the mountains! The house was exactly as advertised, clean, well appointed and perfect for our group (4 adult couples). We had one minor challenge with the house but it is a positive for this review because the property manager had someone at the house within 30 minutes. We’d rent this home again.
The access to the river was blocked by two big tress that had fallen. This was the only downside to our stay. House was nice and had plenty of room for us to spread out.
We enjoyed the cabin. But they do need a rail on the stairs going down to the game room. And the steps going down to the water wasn’t fixed while we were there.
We often use VRBO and this house by far was cleanest, well stocked, spectacular home. The management team responded to questions immediately and when we needed help with lighting the inside has fireplace, management sent someone right away. The outdoor covered seating area with a wood burning fireplace allowed for cozy fireside chats even when the weather turned wet & rainy. We would highly recommend this lovely home!
The house is nice and is everything you would want from a cabin in Blue Ridge! Super cozy and a great place to make memories. One thing to note, I don't expect people would book thinking they have a stretch of private fishing water, but the immediate area isn't super fishy, at least not while I was there. No deeper holes that would hold fish and I didn't spook any out as I was scouting. I am guessing there are some better spots up or down stream, but I didn't want the home owners to think a renter was not respecting their property boundaries.
We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin amenities especially the covered outdoor fire place on a nippy evening. The creek below the cabin gave a calming sound through out the day and evening. Each bedroom has a king bed and large bathroom. Easy to find and close to both Blue Ridge and McCaysville/Copperhill. There was plenty to see within a 60 mile radius with hiking, waterfalls, not too far from the highest point (Brasstown Bald) in Georgia. Also for those who enjoy shopping Blue Ridge has something for everyone.
Overall this place was pretty good with lots of room for 4 couples. All bedrooms are spacious with nice big bathrooms but do not pick the bedroom on the main floor because you will here every single noise from the bedroom above you. Give this room to someone who is hard of hearing or your third favorite couple. Also, one of the pics on vrbo show that there is an air hockey table, which several of our group wanted to use, in the game room but there is not. This pic should be removed. The outside grilling area is very nice but should have the dust and pollen washed away between rentals. Lastly the creek you see is very nice but it's a strenuous walk down to it and back up from it.
This is a perfect place for four couples that all have the same needs as the bedrooms are all pretty much the same with king size beds and nice baths. If anyone has climbing issues then this is not the house for them. The road up there is pretty terrible but it's a very nicely done cabin. For me a few lights extra around the property would be greatly appreciated as with some outdoor fans. They did have a brand new barbecue for our use which was wonderful since we did steaks for the birthday party. The house was well stocked with every kind of dish and Trey imaginable. I wish they had told us that they didn't even give us one morning's worth of coffee because usually in places we've stayed they put enough for at least eight cups of coffee. Our family called it "the palace" so they liked it quite a bit.

Smaller than expected
The pictures on line make the living area look larger than it is. Windows need cleaned badly. All the porches had not been swept and green with mold. Very dark inside. Needs updated inside. Porch railing off the main house was very loose and wobbly... It was taped with only caution tape, very dangerous, I told the manager in charge and she said railings have been ordered. I told her it should be reinforced with a rope or something, that's a big drop off the back porch. Fireplace downstairs wouldn't light, but after I called the correct person, she came right away and fixed it. Had some issues with the TV's ..I think all these things should have been checked and cleaned prior to anyone checking in. High price to pay for everything not being perfect when you arrive.

Not terrible, not great...3 1/2 stars
Online, this property looks incredible. In person, the location is beautiful and exciting. We did enjoy our overall stay and the short trips we took into Blue Ridge. The location is perfect.
For the record, we have stayed in many different types of cabins in and around Blue Ridge. Each one is unique and each has their pluses and minuses. With this cabin, the online pictures and extras didn't match what is actually there.
Two big things (for me) that were disappointing, was the fact that they have gaming systems and games there, but almost every single game was missing from the boxes. Also, the board games they had were missing pieces or batteries to where you couldn't play. Of course, we didnt want the kids gaming the entire time, but when we first arrived, everyone was tired from our drive and the kids wanted to just chill and do their own thing that evening. The younger two (10 &12) were the ones most let down by that. Also, there is not a air hockey machine as others have mentioned. We also had to replace batteries in some of the tv remotes.
Speaking of remotes, the remotes were filthy! To me, that was not acceptable considering we are in a pandemic and cleanliness is of utmost importance. Whoever is cleaning the cabins needs to be given instructions on proper cleaning, with special attention to cleaning all high touch areas. Seeing pure filth built up over time on the remotes by many people's grubby hands was just gross. We found hair in the beds, which had me concerned that the sheets hadn't even been washed.
We did enjoy the hot tub and going down to the creek. It was rather shallow considering all the rain that had came through before our stay, but gorgeous and fun, nonetheless. We enjoyed the workout going up and down the hill to get to the creek.
It should also be noted that if you have anyone in your group who is unable to climb stairs, don't come here. You have no choice but to walk down some stairs from the driveway to get to the front door. This home is not ADA friendly. We used to travel with my MIL and this would have been a nightmare if we rented this place with her with us.
I just expected to have all that was advertised in the listing, and it just wasn't there. Add the hairy sheets and filthy remotes to it and I can't say I'd recommend this place. I wish I could leave a better review, but people should know the truth. Hopefully they accurately update the listing and raise their cleaning standards. Peace.
Beautifully appointed , well-maintained and clean cabin home conveniently located to Blue Ridge activities.
The kitchen appliances and amenities are the only downfall and or badly in need of replacement!!
The refrigerator needs to be replaced as it didn’t cool properly and both three fridge raider and freezer significantly smelled like old dead fish, the toaster was broken and there was barely enough silverware for six people. The video games were a nice touch in the basement however they were broken.
Each of these things are easy to fix and wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for this lovely home that is otherwise very nice.
Bedrooms were great, however with the ability to sleep eight, the living area only had seating for six…kitchen cutlery was short of several pieces for our party of eight. When we reported the ice maker not working, the property manager was there within thirty minutes with bags of ice..very helpful.
We went to Blue Ridge for a family and friend vacation before the kids had to go back to school. We were not disappointed with this cabin. Not only was the view incredible but the cabin was as well and so cozy. It was the perfect set up for our friends and family. Everyone was very comfortable. Everyone loved the river, we were down there just about everyday. It’s very peaceful and relaxing. The hike down to the river can be difficult for older people or small children. Otherwise it was very fun. We barely left the cabin. The kitchen was fully loaded, we were able to cook some really great meals and sit by the fire at night in the seating area. We loved the seclusion and privacy. I would recommend a vehicle with 4 wheel drive to make it up the mountain. We enjoyed the hot tub and game room. Such a fun trip I hope we make it back one day.
The property was beautiful and the listing as described. There were some dirty dishes in the cabinets which was kinda gross but all and all it was a great place
