“Lovely house in a great location!”

“Clare was most welcoming upon our arrival. Street parking was easy. Minor issues that might be addressed would include instructions for the hob(they were not in the oven drawer) and the new coffee machine. Location was good for touring the town and area.”

“We had a wonderful time in Westport for a friend's wedding. My husband and I--with our four-month-old son--and my parents were very comfortable in the spacious, lovely spot right in the center of town. I was so grateful for the ease of check-in and the attentiveness Seamus showed us whenever we had questions. Highly recommend this as the best spot in town if staying for a bit to explore this beautiful area!”

“This well appointed immaculate home provided all the comforts of home for our group of golfers from the USA. The beds were SO comfortable and the separate bathrooms for each bedroom were a real bonus. The property is tucked away in the beautiful, quiet West Ireland countryside and yet is only a five minute drive from the town center. The backyard is heavenly with a wonderful view of Chroagh Patrick. Áine is an outstanding host and communicated with us every step of the way. Margaret was also……

“It is a really good house for a group of up to 10 people. It's three minutes from Westport by car and easily walkable too. The house overall was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The beds were really good quality and comfortable too. The only thing I would suggest is it would be great to have a few additional en suites but it worked well as it was for our group. We all agreed that we would happily rebook The Rocks were we to return to Westport again.”

“Our stay was excellent. Beautiful cottage in an excellent location, close to Castlebar with good road connections for touring the beautiful county of Mayo. The hosts Declan and Laura are very welcoming and very accommodating. Absolutely lovely people. A real genuine "Cead Mile Failte" is felt here. “the property was ideal for our visit, in particular the en-suite bedroom on the ground floor for our 92 year old mother. Raymond was very helpful and patient with our check-in since circumstances meant that we could not be sure of when we would arrive.”

“This house was ideal for us to stay in County Mayo as a base to explore the area. It is just 10 mins from the Town of Ballina and only a short drive to the coast. The cottage contained most things we needed and instructions from the property manager we’re clear and accurate. It was great to be able to self cater as if at home. We would stay again if in the area.”

“We stayed for 2 weeks last year and 3 weeks this time. We have already asked for 4 weeks next year! Neither fashionable nor modern (the refrigerator is vintage 1970), it is the quiet respite we love and the location for daily drives and coffee looking out at Clew Bay. The housekeeper has made a huge difference in its upkeep, treated us as “her wee Americans” and gave us fabulous ideas for things to do, including Clew Bay Charters. We will count the days until we return.”

“Nice place for 2 to stay and visit Westport area Stayed a week, convenient to town and areas nearby Great to visit Achill Island loved traveling up Wild Atlantic Way Short walk, to beach. Host was available but unobtrusive. Showed unit and offered advice to area. No problems with unit and stay”

“Our family of 4 spent 6 nights at this lovely place and had a great time. Good location - we were able to explore the area (Balleek Forest, Westport, WAW coast) but you would need a car. The house way wonderful - lots of space and super comfy beds. My kids didn’t want to leave - swing sets, hot tub, beach, and donkeys - what more could they ask for.”

“We had an enjoyable stay in the cottage. There is a lot of useful information material, but some information was outdated (WiFi password, name and number of the local manager, number of the proprietor). This made it difficult to contact manager or proprietor when we encountered a problem. Once contact was established, the problem was resolved smoothly. There is a nice 8 km walk starting from the cottage, the finest part of which is a stretch of coastline that is only accessible at low tide.……

“For us 4 anglers on the River Moy (Armstrong route) an ideal starting point. Short distances to our fishing route. On the whole we were also satisfied with the accommodation. Except for a few shortcomings that I would like to describe. We were particularly surprised at the unacceptable dirt that came out after the bed linen had been removed. All pillows were so dirt and blood stains that are not tolerable. The pan for the stove is so dirty (dirt burned in) and can no longer be used! The existing……

“The double room was small but very comfortable,with comfortable bed. TV channels a poor selection and unwatchable in the evening because picture kept breaking up. The pool & spa facilities are excellent! & breakfast was delicious! Over all a very pleasant stay - though somethings do need improving. ”
