"New hotel (opened in November 2025), with currently pristine facilities. Rooms were clean, well appointed, and fresh. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Not busy at all but I suspect that this will change once more people find out about it (it’s nicer in person than it looks online). Note that you either have to take a 10 minute taxi boat to Zenses and Blu Zen (resorts on the north island) from the main Caye Caulker town or can borrow hotel bikes to take the short trip ($1 or $2 to cross the water at the Split). I would definitely recommend this little gem of a retreat in the blue waters of Belize! Note: This is adjacent to Blu Zen, so parties could stay at both and still be in very close proximity."

"Our two bedroom two bath unit had a great view of the Caribbean and the bay! The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans. Be sure to bring your favorite spices :-). Even though we stayed in December, we were thankful there was nice cool AC! The 5 gallon bottled water in the unit helps keep you hydrated. We stayed more than a week, so we opted to have our laundry done on site, very helpful. Maria, Ian and Arielle assisted us with our questions, maintenance, and housekeeping needs. We used the bikes and the kayaks on a daily basis. We spent most of our time on the dock, but the pool is lovely and inviting."

"We cannot say enough about this place and the hosts. The house is gorgeous and away from the hustle of the city but, still close enough to go into town or a local market. We enjoyed breathtaking sunrises and sunsets from our private dock, had our fridge stocked with all our creature comforts, private pick up from our boat dock for fishing and snorkeling excursions, massages and in house meals prepared, laundry, private pool, etc. All courtesy of our hosts recommendations. We had the best week ever thanks to Joan, Michael, and Katie. Five stars. Would definitely recommend! We can’t wait to go back and visit our hosts we now call friends. "

"The resort was beautiful. The food was prepared beautifully and was delicious. The staff went above and beyond. We felt at home. We got food poisoning on day 4 (not from the resort) and the whole staff took care of us. From our pick up at the airport to transportation to the water taxi to the golf cart rental and extension….everything was taken care of. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you Playe de sala. You made Belize magnificent. Highly recommend!"

"This was our second trip to the island and it was much better than the first. The house was beautiful and quiet. The property owners and managers were excellent; not only did they recommend people and activities for the majority of our excursions but they were quick to answer any questions before and during our stay. And being picked up at the dock for diving, fishing and other water activities was awesome! "

"Casa Amarillo is perfect for up to 5 couples! The house was clean, the two kitchens make it very convenient and the pool was very clean as they stopped by almost every morning to clean it! Ester couldn’t have made our trip any smoother. She answered all questions, booked our flight from Belize City to Ambergris Caye and our shuttles to the house. Super host, great home and Belize is amazing!"
