「I loved the ‘old-world’ atmosphere and the attitude of trust placed in the guests. Our room was so quiet and peaceful. We dined in Markie Dans in the evening and I loved the friendliness, the food, and the toe-tapping Scottish music played by a young accordion player. 「The venue is up a gradual slope, being around a 10 minute walk from the town centre however the view of the harbour during the walk is beautiful. Being close to the pulpit hill viewpoint makes a nice trip being only a couple minutes walk from the venue. Carolyn was very welcoming and seeing me as a female sole traveler, made me feel very safe and gave me suggestions for the best places to visit. 「They accommodated our group of four with one double bed and two single beds in the same room to avoid extra costs. I cannot say enough about the breakfast, which cost only 10 SBP per person. One hot menu choice and unlimited continental and drink choices included. I have found nowhere else that does that, at least on our Scotland trip. If your travels take you anywhere near Oban, book this hotel! 」
