Restful retreat

The photos are exactly what you see when you walk in. Beautiful cabin and property that is perfect for rest and relaxation. Just a few minutes out of Boone, you are away from traffic and noise, completely surrounded by nature.

We were all so pleased with the house. So clean and well stocked. Very comfortable and had the feel of home. Definitely one that we will keep on file for the family. Loved the fall decorations!

Windswept vista

The overall house was very nice for 3 couples however we were a little disappointed by how close the other cabins were. This was not shown on the pictures of the house. The other complaint we had was with the condition of some of the items in the house. The master bedroom had torn and stained sheets, the bar stools were so stained you would not sit on them and the dishes and glasses were in need of replacement. A lot of them were cracked and a glass I was about to drink out of was shattered on one side. We enjoyed our Christmas but would probably not stay at this location again.

Beautiful property just as advertised

We stayed two nights at this very clean and well maintained property. Location was great for a quiet and relaxing getaway. Restaurants and shopping were only 10 minutes away which was awesome! Highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful Christmas Cabin

We loved this great place! It was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and the kitchen was especially well-stocked. The separate basement bedroom was nice for the dog owners, leading directly out to the fenced-in yard. The hot tub/firepit area was convenient and comfortable. The only issue we really had was the comfort of the beds. The mattresses were sad, and the pull-out sofa in the basement was not fit for an adult to sleep on.

Great weekend stay!

Our group of 8 had a great time at the house while in Boone for a wedding. Plenty of space - we loved the personal balconies/decks for each room. And, the game room downstairs was fun for late night ping pong. We'd rebook! Great location for ASU and Blowing Rock.

Late Winter Getaway with Friends

We arrived to the beautiful cabin, entry was very easy with the instructions being very clear. The cabin was beautifully decorated giving an instant “homey” feel. The entire place was very clean, kitchen well stocked with dish ware, silverware, pots, pans, a roomy fridge and with the extra kitchen downstairs we were set up to cook great meals each morning and evening. The hot tub and fire pit were a nightly favorite. The bedrooms were well suited for couples traveling together or families. Bedrooms each had a bathroom which was a wonderful plus! The Boone, Blowing Rock and surrounding areas were easy to travel to and plenty of great local breweries and restaurants. The location of the cabin is very quiet with several permanent residents on the mountain. The trip up the mountain was paved with some loose gravel, with the last 200ish feet to the cabin being more rock, but not rough. With so many attributes with this gorgeous cabin, the one thing we wished had been a little better were the mattresses, not as comfortable as we had hoped, but not enough of an issue we wouldn’t book here again. If you choose Windswept Vistas you will not be disappointed!

Graduation party for the whole family

It was wonderful spending time with family and friends to celebrate our son’s college graduation at App. This house was large and Comfortable. Make sure you have four wheel drive to get up the mountain!

Absolutely amazing!

My family and I just stayed at this property for the weekend and I am so happy we found it. It was clean & stunning inside and out. We had dinner plans the night we arrived but decided to eat in because we didn’t want to leave the house lol do yourself a favor & book this house! We will definitely be back! Thank you so much.

Cabin was beautiful, though I think we were expecting better Mountain View’s and not in a residential area. Fridge was damaged upon arrival and Not keeping food cold but luckily there are 2 on property.

Mountain top vacation home

Great house for large group of eight. Ping pong table became a nightly tournament. Fun! The house could use larger pots and pans to accommodate a large crowd.

Winter Retreat

My husband and I rented this property for our 25th wedding anniversary and invited 6 of our closest friends. Everyone had their own room and bathroom. There was a beautiful fire pit outside which we used every evening. The property was easy to get to and close to the town of Boone. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and kitchen ware. The common areas were cosy and comfortable. I would recommend this property to friends.
