The motel is in a great location walkable to harbor attractions and lots of restaurants. It is a low frills, vintage property (small bathroom and older decor/fixtures) but it was clean and bed was comfortable. All we needed for 1 night.

If you like living in the 70s, but paying 21st century prices, this place is for you. For one night this was perfectly OK. Issues with water temperature and pressure, and tight spaces. Very basic, so overall not great for a longer term stay. Location is the big plus - can walk to everything the town offers. Other than that, just OK.

This was my fourth year staying at the Midtown Motel. I love it here, close to all that Boothbay Harbor has to offer, yet very peaceful and quiet. Yes, the motel is a very old fashioned property reminiscent of the the 1950's Era, but this only adds to it's charm! I hope the new owners keep it much the same as they venture forward, as so many historical inns and hotels are being bought up and completely overhauled, and their pricing reflects that. The rooms are very clean, and the staff are very personable and caring for the comfort of their guests. I definitely would recommend the Midtown to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the busy downtown area.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the staff was kind. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything in the room next door. The bathroom works, but needs help. It was a great location, but a lot of money for not such a great property.
