Beautiful location, great food, troll path was really fun. Hot tubs were relaxing. Owners are on site and very kind and helpful. Delicious breakfast!

We chose this hotel for its location, in the middle of nowhere, to see the Northern Lights and we achieved our goal, we just walked behind our room and it was dark enough to enjoy the lights. The hotel is surrounded by nature, there is a nice waterfall that you can enjoy from the restaurant of the hotel and a trail. Close by there are more waterfalls, all of them beautiful.

Room was very comfortable and the area was quite nice. Staff were helpful for the hotel itself but the restaurant service was very poor. Also some broken amenities (laundry) while I was there.

Check in and out was easy. I love the troll walk! My last night there I got lucky and saw the northern lights! I would recommend staying here and would do so again myself.

Nice and clean hotel operated with heart. Breakfast was great and service at the counter was helpful. Recommend who wants to visit the west coast. I like the hiking path behind the hotel

A very pleasant stay
The hotel is located next to the Troll Waterfall a beautiful scenic place to stay. The room is clean and equipped with fridge, microwave and a desk for laptop. Staff are friendly and helpful.

If you don't stay at this hotel while in Iceland you are missing a gem! It is located in the country, but not far from village amenities. The property is surrounded by walking trails and is perched on the side of a river with rushing water and falls. The restaurant serves a great dinner too! WE had traditional Icelandic fish and lamb. The rooms were cozy and the hot tub was a delight. Plenty of parking. There are also little camping cabins. The staff were friendly and responsive.

Nice place to stay.
The place is very nice but the main light in the toilet was not working so as one of the lights in the living room. The view from the room is beautiful and breakfast was excellent.

Stayed in the rooms with private bathrooms. Liked the property - next to a small stream with a small but wide waterfall. Convenient if you are exploring the western peninsula of Iceland. Room was nice and the modest breakfast buffet was great. I would stay here again if I was travelling to western Iceland or on my way further north.

What a great property, they have a cute walking trail all about trolls. Dinner was very good and so was breakfast. The staff were very nice. The spas could be a bit hotter, but we loved our stay here. We couldn't get into one of the pods, which I thought would be fun, but very happy with where we stayed.

Our favorite of the 6 properties we stayed at when touring Iceland. Located by a river with a small falls. Beautiful sunset. Dinner from the restaurant was very good. We also liked the troll garden.

We had an amazing stay! Staff was super nice and very helpful. Property itself had a lot to offer. Nature around it was amazing, we even saw aurora borealis there. It has an amazing story inspired by trolls, which gives another dimension to the surroundings. All in all, we highly recommend it. đŸ€—

Great staff. Really nice spot for Northern lights. About 20-30 minutes from nearest town. The smell of the sheep nearby and creep in with the wind, not there fault. Enjoyed there breakfast very much.

The hotel has a restaurant attached, we arrived pretty late, tired and hungry. The owner actually got us something to eat even though the restaurant was closed. We sat and chatted with the owner telling us about the area and the Hotel. The Rock N Troll restaurant has much symbolism. The owner even wrote a children’s book about the trolls for sale in many languages. The owner even signed one for us. The site is on a waterfall that was outside our room, be sure to look for the troll when sitting for breakfast, he resides in the side of the rocks. There is a great spot to view the northern lights as well if the timing is right.

The area around the hotel is beautiful, and we wished we had more time to explore the trails. We booked two cabins (two couples) and both were comfortable. The cabin was equipped with kettle, fridge and even a microwave. There was also a heated towel rack. The breakfast selection was adequate.
