"The property was well-located within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see. The hot tub and pool were clean and relaxing, and the on-site Hôtel restaurant food was delicious. Great service, and the cocktails were good, too! Breakfast was fresh and good variety. We booked massages at the hotel spa, too, which was a wonderful pampering treat! "Nice hotel just on outskirts of town, nice views. Parking was tight when we arrived, luckily there was a space. The room didn't have Aircon, clearly not an issue for most of the year. Pool was nice. No Issues with check in or out. The whole area is beautiful"

"It was probably the nicest hotel in Amelie-les-bains, which has few operating hotels and not an especially beautiful small town in the Pyrenees. The town is full of retirees and supports elderly French people there to take the cure in the Roman baths. We appreciated the AC and the bike room at the Castel hotel. Most people stay for one night en route to another place. We stayed for 4 days using it as a base for a cycling holiday. The housekeeping is done only once a week in the rooms, and the guest laundry machines were broken so we couldn’t use them. Our studio room was small and in need of updating. There were holes in the wall that needed patching. The staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was good. It was important to reserve for dinner since the restaurant was full every night with locals and guests bringing their dogs. They have a dog named obelisk and welcome all canines."

Thumbs up to Hotel Viella."
