Average run of the mill 60's style motel. We stayed here while visiting Salem during October which is the busiest month to visit. Hotel was priced right and only a 20 minute drive into downtown Salem. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable,

I loved our room with a fireplace, so cozy. The restaurant was really good, and the staff were so sweet. I was hoping for cozy inn vibes and a fireplace in the common areas and unfortunately that’s not a thing at this inn. Other than that, it was lovely.

Room was clean and really nice compared to my expectation. My only problem is the entrances aren’t in line with the sign and at night we’re difficult to find. Also the road coming down into the hotel and leaving are absolutely terrible. Besides that, it was a great stay, with updated room features and amenities. I would stay again if ever back in the area.

The air conditioner smelt funny, the bathtub did not drain but overall it was nice since only one person had to shower before we left & it is close distance from Salem not bad for catching a ride there with prices either. Would be better if added a free breakfast spot & fire place or something to make it something special.

This hotel might look a little rough around the edges when you first see the property, but don't let that stop you. The check-in process was efficient and easy, but the front desk agent is what made the initial difference for us--she was the nicest! Super sweet and helpful with the local area, could not have asked for a nicer person to check us in. Then we got to our room which was spotless, clean, clean, clean! Beds were super comfy too. Will be back, we loved this property and our stay. Thank you!

We loved our stay at North Shore. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. There was a little sitting place outside to sit and enjoy the weather or let the kids play and the staff were amazing. The rooms were clean and you can open the windows to let the breeze in. Again this place was amazing. If I ever make it back to Salem Mass I’ll definitely be staying here again.

This is more of a motel than hotel, it’s a bit tired, they’ve done some updating. Rooms and breakfast area very clean. Room had plenty of space. The shower was big and water pressure was fantastic! Quiet considering the location. Breakfast was simple, bagels, bread for toast, cold cereals, muffins, croissants, a waffle maker, coffee, yogurt, juice.

The rooms were clean, but they were in dire need of updating. The walls were thin. You could hear the upstairs guests walking around and the traffic noise from I-95 was very loud from inside the room. The breakfast provided was unremarkable except for the fresh made waffles.
