“We had such a lovely time at this home near Old Rag. We had 6 adults and a baby and it was just perfect. Everything was clean and well equipped, and the location to beautiful trails was perfect We will definitely be coming back.”

“We rented this home for four nights, and it was an amazing property with a front view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It has both a front and rear yard. Waking up in the morning was beautiful, especially sitting on the front porch watching the farm animals do their daily routines. Looking over the goats and cattle against the horizon of the mountain was stunning. The home itself was immaculate; the bathrooms, kitchen, and bedrooms were spotless. Thank you, Carrie, for meeting our expectations. We……

“Wonderful trip! The host/home owner was so nice and so helpful. She gave detailed instructions on everything before we got there which made the entire stay go smoothly. The cottage was roomy, clean and more than we even expected. Oxana saw us outside and when she saw we had 2 toddlers, she showed us toys she had available for them to play with. She really goes above and beyond for guests. Highly recommend this place!”

“The Mint Cottage was perfect and exactly what we hoped for! The cottage was super clean, comfortable, and had every possible thing we could’ve needed. The hosts thought of everything! We loved it and would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks for the lovely welcome, treats, and hospitality John and Diane! :)”

“Lovely stay, convenient location to town and to the National Park. The house is well done and beautiful”

“We enjoyed our stay at this property and it was clean, well equipped with all the modern conveniences, and provided a nice alternative to a hotel. It was a good fit for us with our small dog and was a short drive to the places we wanted to visit. We were there for a long weekend and it is along a busy street so the only drawback was the traffic noise during the day.”

“Great location to explore the Shenandoah National Forest and Shenandoah Valley for spring break. The size of the house was perfect for our two families. The kids loved their room with twin beds and many games and toys. There was a seat for the baby and a pack and play, as well.Everyone enjoyed having breakfast on the back deck. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed to cook and enjoy meals but we were close enough to Luray to go out for any meals we wanted. It was also nice having toiletries……

“Very cute, Loved the porch for morning coffee. Wish there had been a second bathroom upstairs. At my age, it’s at least a couple trips down the stairs at night. Disappointing that there was no cable or whatever and internet was very slow so couldn’t really use the TV. But maybe it was just us. Didn’t really miss it that much. Would definitely stay again. During the remainder of our trip we kept saying how we miss the porch!”

“Very clean, comfortable and lots of thoughtful touches. Close to EVERYTHING. Please note that the ‘2 twin beds’ is NOT a trundle bed. There are two 4” mattresses stacked on top of each other on the one frame. You need to take one of the mattresses off and put it on the floor to create the ‘2 twin beds’. That being said, the mattresses were comfortable and there were plenty of sheets and blankets. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.”
