The Space:
Most mountain retreats force a choice: total isolation or city convenience. Sunshine Lodge gives you both.
Perched in Sunshine Canyon, you are just a short, scenic drive (approx. 15 mins) from the restaurants on Pearl Street, yet completely secluded with west-facing mountain views. This isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s a private adventure resort built for recovery and high-end fun.
ADVENTURE & WELLNESS
- The Ropes Course: A unique, custom-built ropes course located right on the property. It’s exclusive to you and your group—you won't find this anywhere else.
- Contrast Therapy: Cycle between the massive Hot Tub (year-round) and the Cold Plunge (Spring-Fall). It is the ultimate recovery after hiking Mount Sanitas.
- The Primary Spa: A room-sized walk-in shower with dual rainfall heads and a deep soaking tub.
ENTERTAINMENT & DINING
- The Game Room: Full-sized pool table, vintage arcade games, and "Pop-a-Shot" basketball.
- Barista Station: A premium espresso machine and fully stocked coffee bar. Take your brew to the balcony—we’ve installed commercial-strength heaters so you can enjoy the view even in winter.
- Al Fresco Evenings: Sunset dinners on the deck followed by s’mores at the automatic fire pit.
FAMILY & PETS
- For the Kids: We provide a pack-n-play, noise machine, and child-safe cutlery. The primary suite features a massive closet that doubles as a quiet nursery sanctuary.
- For the Dogs: We are pet-friendly. Please note, the property is not fenced (this is real mountain living), so please keep Fido on a leash when outside. We’ve stocked plenty of cleaning supplies under the sink, just in case.
Guest Access:
- Arrival & Parking: The driveway can accommodate four to five vehicles. Access is via a coded, keyless entry system (code provided prior to check-in).
- Technology & Connectivity: High-speed Starlink satellite service and cellphone service amplifiers ensure strong connectivity for remote work, streaming and safety.
The Neighborhood:
Sunshine Canyon is a quiet, residential, mountain community. We ask that guests respect the privacy and peace of our neighbors during their stay.

- 35 Mins to Eldora Mountain Ski Resort
- 40 Mins to Blackhawk Casinos.
Getting Around:
Seasonal Vehicle Requirement: From November through April, 4WD or AWD vehicles are required for safe driveway and canyon access.
Other Things to Note:
- Wildfire Zone: This property is located in a high-fire-risk zone. NO wood-burning fires are permitted anywhere on the property. Please only use the provided gas firepits.
- Wildlife: Bear, elk, and mountain lion activity is common. Secure all trash and never leave food or garbage outdoors, even temporarily.
- Permitted & Licensed: This property is registered and licensed with Boulder County. VR-25-0027
- Guest Access: Guests have exclusive access to the entire home, yard, hot tub, cold plunge, and rope course. Owner's storage areas are locked and inaccessible.
- Pergola and Sun Shade: due to seasonal windstorms, these amenities may not be available during your stay. Please feel free to reach out for confirmation before booking your stay!
