"This our 3rd stay at Kandaya. Sadly, lots of upgrading is needed now. We first had a deluxe suite booked. Foul smell was coming from bathroom, TV wasn’t working well and air conditioned was not functioning well. We eventually moved to a villa, which was better but bathroom needs upgrading, tiles from the pool were coming off as well. Gym definitely needs a lot of upgrades. Air condition was always not properly functioning and ALL equipments were so old, most were taped off and too old to use....

The local villagers tried to help me, but they discovered that the hotel owner is away and their hotel is not open for business. Fortunately they helped me find alternative accommodation. "Maria and the on-island host were exceptionally nice and helpful. My group were fortunate to have stayed there and several other places on the island. The picture of a house at the beach on the listing did not represent the actual location, but if you take a second look it says '5 mins from beach', which we missed until we got there. So we had to move our group around to accommodate that. That is the only feedback I think would be helpful to know. Otherwise, it was a very nice place to stay."
