The hotel was nice very polite and friendly staff. Rooms where about outdated and notatce freshest, the pool and sauna where cool but changing rooms grubby and mould in showers use your room showers much better but over all was great for the price breakfasts was nice staff where great! Overall experience me and the wife enjoyed our stay

The hotel is a little worn visually and a throw back to the 80s, but impeccably clean, with comfortable beds and faultless service. Would highly recommend.

Nice hotel

The room was really good and spacious. Breakfast was ok. The only down side was I was supposed to have a £10 drinks voucher available at the bar. Sadly the bar wasn’t open on both times I tried.

I had a lovely few nights stay at the Elstead Hotel....The staff were so friendly and helpful and made me feel very welcome. The hotel and staff have a cosy, family feel to it which made me feel very comfortable. I have already recommended this hotel to my parents, who are looking to go to Bournemouth for a few nights and i would definitely stay here again...thank you for making my mini-break so lovely. Pleasant stay

Had a nice stay, just for one night. Decor is a bit dated but didn't affect our stay. Staff were very friendly and willing to help which made our experience more comfortable. We didnt get a chance to use the pool so cannot comment on this. Breakfast was ok, would have liked more choice for the cooked food, but did have a variety of cold foods. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and would go back again.

Good stay with excellent customer service

The location is quiet and very pleasant. First impressions entering reception are not favourable. The building is in need of modernisation and general upkeep. However, the staff more than make up for this, they were attentive and good at customer services. The continental breakfast was excellent as well as the swimming pool and gym facilities. I would definitely stay here again.

exceptional breakfasts

3 days and out all day so did not stay too much in hotel all day. No evening meals provided, but breakfasts were awesome. As an old building the stairs and floors creak badly. The bed as a single was not comfy but overall a very good hotel.

Hotel needs updating No restaurant as advertised,breakfast was your normal toast and cereal but cooked breakfast was only scrambled eggs bacon and sausage no deviation at all so for food they sent me to a premier Inn pub which was further than the other eating places I found the second night the bar is only bottled beers

Very pleasant stay

This value for money hotel gets all the important things right: clean rooms, showers and bedding, plenty of hot water and heating. The hotel is also in a great location, close to the city centre, but not super-close so very quiet. Those who are particular about wear and tear in hotel rooms should avoid (much of the furniture and fixtures is old, though they function perfectly well). Personally, I put that in the ‘unimportant’ category but each to their own. The people at the front desk and at breakfast are very friendly.

Convenient, a few buts

The hotel is good, it was clean and so, although you may have the feeling that the best years are behind you. The staff is very helpful, but they forgot to apply our VIP access benefit. Interesting option, the indoor pool, the gym and the saunas. In spite of the explanation about the water temperature, we would have loved it a little warmer.
