Worst trip ever!

I've made a reservation through Hotels.com for 1 night saturday to sunday. When we arrived to hotel we had no room reserved even if 3 families came after us and they gave them 3 rooms because they paid cash for it. Weekend in Brasov means no avaiable rooms if not booked in advance. We found something 25km away from Brasov. I don't reccomend at all!!!!! The worst trip ever even if Brasov is the highlight of Romania!

It’ll do

My booking from hotels.com didn’t show up for them so they weren’t expecting me and it took a while to check in. They found a room for me but it didn’t look like they were expecting guests, the wing seemed to be some kind of storage for them and the room was tiny and very dark with an old carpet. The bathroom was amazing though and it was a good location. The courtyard was pretty.

Mysigt ställe. Otroligt hjälpsam personal. Trevlig innergård. Ca en kvarts promenad till torget och Svarta kyrkan. Enda nackdelen var att det var lyhört, om man har svårt att sova.

Bad experience

I will suggest - before deciding to book a room at Pensiunea Italiana - that you demand from them confirmation as well as pictures of the exact room you will be getting. We booked a double room which looked fine on the website but on arrival were ushered into a very tiny room which measured 2.7m X 2.2m with a bathroom of 1.2m X 1.9m. Yes, we measured it! The bed measured in at 1.20m X 1.96m, which is nowhere near a double bed size but rather a very old type ¾ bed. This was the first time I used hotelsdotcom and it will be the last, I’m now back with bookingdotcom.

Asciugamani sporchi e vecchi. Non cambiati nonostante lasciati a terra (come da loro indicazioni) Doccia incrostata. Gruppi che gozzovigliavano fino alle 2 di notte nel cortile. Coperte bucate e piene di capelli e peli. Il parcheggio indicato in prenotazione come presente era (se sei fortunato) il marciapiede antistante.

Bom somente pela localização

Foi decepcionante e frustrante nossa estadia nesse hotel. Ao chegarmos, fomos recepcionados por uma atendente que não falava bem o inglês e nos informou que nossa reserva feita há 9 meses atrás pelo hotéis.com não estava registrada no hotel. Aguardamos a chegada de uma outra atendente que falava bem o inglês e nos confirmou que nossa reserva não tinha sido recebida pelo hotel. Como eu estava com a reserva impressa, entreguei-a à atendente que ficou de verificar o que ocorreu no dia seguinte com a hotéis.com e nos acomodou em um quarto improvisado, no qual ficamos durante as 3 estadias. O quarto estava limpo e arrumado, mas não era muito confortável e o banheiro não tinha box e ficava todo alagado em todas as vezes que tomávamos banho. Mas o pior de tudo foi a informação enganosa que o hotéis.com fez do hotel no momento que fizemos a reserva (há 9 meses atrás), pois o hotéis.com indicava na reserva que o hotel possuía estacionamento gratuito, o que era muito importante para nós pois estávamos com veículo alugado na Romênia. Ao chegar no hotel, fomos informados que deveríamos deixar o veículo estacionado na calçada (algo muito comum na Romênia) e que o hotel não permitia estacionar em sua propriedade, mesmo tendo espaço para veículo em frente ao nosso quarto. O sinal do wi-fi no quarto era bom e a localização também era boa. Aliás, a localização foi a única vantagem de termos ficado no hotel, pois fica muito próximo do centro histórico da cidade (a alguns minutos de caminhada).

Great by Romanian Standards

It's all relative in Romania... The beds were surprisingly comfortable and I slept well. For the price and compared to another hotel in Bucharest where I later stayed, this was a fantastic place.

could've been better

The welcoming to the hotel was nice and the owners called their daughter to speak English to us and help with the initial paperwork. After getting to the room, the heater was off and the thermostat was difficult to learn to turn the heat on. The bed was rather still and the room was overall smaller than we had expected. However the city center was a short walk (~15 minutes) away and we were able to enjoy the sights nearby. After hours of walking around and wanting to message family via the WiFi, we learned that if we wanted the WiFi in the room, we had to stand next to the door as that's the only signal we could get from it.

Very friendly and comfortable place in Brasov

Checked in after 11pm but the lady was very friendly. Wifi was fast. Shower was much nicer and bathroom more spacious than the ones I've had at the other 3 places I've stayed in Romania & Moldova. Bed was huge. Over 60 channels on Cable TV. 13-minute walk to the main square.

Overview

The hotel is in good location. You need to walk for 10-15 minutes to city center. The great thing i loved was the service given from the owner of the hotel. She is a very nice lady and very helpful and is always ready to assist. She can give great tips how and where to go and make ur trip easier. I totaly recommend this hotel.

Хороший отель. Возле отеля хозяйка помогла бесплатно поставить машину. Кровати отличные. Ванна прекрасная. Вай-фай хороший. От центра 20 минут пешком неспешным шагом. Крупных косяков нет.
