Please be advised that the town of Breckenridge is at 10,000 ft and our cabin is at 11,000 ft. If this is your first trip to Summit County, please be aware of altitude sickness and how to avoid it. Do your own research, but we have found that staying hydrated (3-4 quarts/day) and over-the-counter headache medicine are key to avoid symptoms - and start the measures BEFORE arrival. Get hydrated starting the day before your arrival and continue throughout your stay. Take some headache medicine on your travel day and for the first couple days of your trip.
Also note that AWD/4WD is recommended during the WINTER months (Nov-Apr), as Summit County gets a fair amount of snow.

To make your stay more enjoyable, please consider bringing laundry soap and, if you are staying more than a few days, additional supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher tabs).
Moose Meadow is a peaceful, well maintained home that has 4 bedrooms and features fabulous mountain views and occasional sightings of the neighborhood moose, fox, or deer. Hike or bike at Hoosier Pass, climb the 14er Quandary Peak or other trails nearby, fish at Alma Pond just over the pass, or head into town for skiing or mountain biking at Breckenridge Resort or bike along the path from Breckenridge to Dillon and beyond. This location is close enough to town to enjoy all that Breckenridge and Summit County has to offer, but also provides the solitude of a cabin in the woods.
There are 2 comfortable living areas with TVs (one with a DVD player), 3 decks, a fully equipped, updated kitchen with granite counter tops and gas stove, a small garage (not for parking), plus outdoor parking for 3 vehicles. The main level bedroom has a queen moderately firm TempurPedic log bed with access to a private hot tub on the back deck for looking at trees and stars. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms with vaulted ceilings (king very firm TempurPedic bed with deck and bunk bed room - twin/twin and twin/full) and a full bath. The master suite with living area on the lower level has a king moderately firm TempurPedic bed and queen sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress on solid backing (no bar!), full bath, TV, and gas fireplace. Relax on the sunny front deck with the swinging bench while taking in panoramic views of mountains and Hoosier Pass. Laundry facilities are in the back of the garage, accessible from the lower level.
The driveway is shared, so please be sure to park without blocking the neighbor's access. We strongly recommend AWD/4WD during the winter months. There is alternate parking in a pullout at the base of the neighborhood road for any vehicles that can't make it up the driveway.
