The locking of the gate at 6 was a surprise to us and it would be nice to mention it or highlight this, phoning to say we are running 30 min late we did not get an option….very stressful on that road. Arriving we realised that the gate was manned and could have been opened for us 😟 The restaurant is very pricy, would be popular if there could be some cheaper family options. "Stayed in a self-equipped cottage and enjoyed the proximity to ostrich, elands, notebooks and zebra. Rented mountain bikes (not a great selection for a small woman but found one) and road to the ocean pools. Tough on the washboard roads! Gorgeous coast. Staff were terrific, had to deal with a baboon break-in (hide ALL food) and eager to please. Didn’t eat in the restaurant but had drinks by the fire there as it was chilly and damp. Friends did the marine guided walk and said it was excellent."
