Heater doesn’t work- don’t stay if it’s below 60
It was 30 degrees outside, and even though I had the heater on all night, it probably only got as warm as 55 degrees inside of my place. I slept under the blankets with my hoodie and jacket on and was still cold all night.

The hotel was old, but clean. Quieter than staying on the main highway in Breezewood. Room could use some updating and some repair in bathroom. Also, there was no soap or shampoo offered in bathroom. It was fine for a one night stay on the way home. We had our 2 mini doodles with us and it would have been nice for some grass for them when they had to potty and wish we had known there would be an extra charge for the dogs. We were told that when we arrived.

Our room had no heat the tv didn’t work right and the was no light in the bathroom. Also hotels.com said check out was 11 and the morning of check out they knocked on our door at 10 and told us check out was at 10, I told them I thought it was 11 and they simply said no 10. So needless to say we won’t be staying there again.

The stay had 3 positives and three only. It kept us out of the rain; the beds were comfortable and the water was hot. Those did not make up for the following: The AC unit was mounted so high on the wall you couldn’t read any of the multiple selections and we couldn’t get it to stay on. The tv didn’t work. There was no outlet in the bathroom. The curtain didn’t close all the way allowing viewing from the sidewalk. The shower head was so low water from it hit your belly button. The pipes were not secured to the framing so when the diverter was lifted the entire faucet and shower head lifted behind the surround and it seemed as though the faucet would fall apart. The only outlet close enough to a mirror to use a blow drier was near the door where the curtain wouldn’t close all the way so, it was necessary to be fully dressed before using it. The towels looked as though they had been used to wash a car. The paint on the ceiling in the bathroom was pealing off in a big sheet. The bathroom fan was deafening and didn’t clear a bit of steam. There was No battery in the smoke detector. The key drop off was totally unsecured which would allow anyone access to the room after you left to steal whatever they wanted from any of the rooms and the last guest would likely be blamed. Will not stay there again. If there had been any other inns with vacancies we would not have stayed this time. Way, way too expensive for the conditions.

Bad service, bad conditions
Did not have a good experience. We checked in at midnight and were very tired and the guy who checked us in straight up yelled at my husband and then mocked his shocked reaction. First, he just yelled, “CARD!” while he was checking us in and it was so jarring, both me and my husband said, “What?” And he yelled, “CARD!” again and then looked at my husband and started mocking his confusion. He started imitating his face and looked at me and goes, “LOOK AT HIS FACE. HE’S LOOKING AT ME LIKE THIS.” And then my husband said very calmly, “Um, okay we’ll just leave then,” and he was like no, no just sign here. It was so freaking weird and rude. He was actually loud while he was yelling, another employee came up from the back to see what was going. Then we went into the room and there were spiders all over the bathroom and the ceiling was falling apart with water damage. Horrible. We left at 5am because we didn’t want to be there any longer.

this is an older hotel so of course it could use some updates but the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was super nice and that's all that counts! it is at the intersection of the turnpike, the interstate and a major route so there is a lot of traffic noise but very little between 11pm and 5am. we had no trouble sleeping. the price was very reasonable for this hotel, i would stay there again if i needed a hotel in Breezewood.

I picked this place since I was traveling with my dog, but it was not the most updated or clean environment I was expecting. Based on the pictures very disappointing as well as they tacked on a customer support charge. Pathetic is more like it.

Amazed a motel, in this day and age, could be THIS FILTHY; FILTHY toiletry w/ feces stains, dirty tub, sticky carpets, blanket sticky, dirty, and smelled, ANCIENT heater (it did work though), walls and ceilings dripping sludge, remote for TV not so much and sticky, fridge, microwave, iron, all disconnected, but were the only clean things in room. Only stayed night because I was DESPERATE, it was really late, and I pre-paid Orbitz and it was non-refundable.

This property needs upgrades but the room was clean and the new owner and his family provided exceptional customer service which is becoming increasingly rare these days. I would recommend staying here for this reason alone.

An old motor lodge type hotel. I arrived late (midnight). Rang doorbell. Not sure it was working. Called phone number. Staff responded. Checkin was quick. Room was old. Bed was comfortable. TV was difficult to work. Only need room for 8 hrs. Would look for anpther facility if I need accommodations in Breezewood, PA.

Didnt like anything. Room had no heat on when we got here. Tv wouldnt work till guy came and fixed it. Carpet needed vacuumed. Only has wall heaters that took forever to take chill off. Very disappointed.

The first room had a horrible smell so they gave us another one which was great. However that’s really the nicest thing I can say. There are no outlets in the bathroom, the walls were peeling, the fixtures in the shower were leaky and loose, and the vinyl floor was held together with tape. The towels were small so we asked for another one and had to argue to get one more towel! No info on the WiFi password and after the argument over the towel we didn’t want to go back. There were no outlets next to the bed. We had to unplug the refrigerator and microwave to use those outlets. Very convenient location but there were other choices in that area. Spend the extra $$.

I have Wi-Fi password to everyone. You booked single bed room yet I changed it for double bed room even though we were full. Towel we didn’t argue we gave you one. And you saw the room and room details then booked in. We have clearly mentioned the amenities.Thank you for staying with us.

Just like the other reviewers said, clean and basic room right across from the McDonalds (if you want coffee or food). No complaints, and the family running the place are very kind.

This is the worst place i have ever stayed. When i arrived at the hotel the girl told me that I didn't made the reservation which made me worried. She asked me to show proof of my booking, after I showed her she finally agreed and gave me a key. When I got into the room, I realized that it's one Queen size bed instead of 2 double that I booked, so I went back and requested for the double. She then changed me to the room next door. The bathroom window was broken and the cold air keeps coming into the bathroom, i have to take a towel to cover, the bathroom door cannot be closed, there's no shampoo nor conditioner and no hair dryer. Bathtub is dirty, i didn't want to take a shower. The bed is so uncomfortable. The worst part is the hotel is right next to a highway, there're trucks passes by every minute making loud noise which kept me awake all night. I would never go back again and would not recommend anyone to book this hotel.

We were staying at sonrise inn because we were visiting family. I would NOT recommend this place at all. When we walked in, the room smelt horrible. Smelt like garbage. We wanted a queen bed but we got a full size bed. The bathroom floor had old Linoleum from probably the 80,s and was previously ripped. Well there was tap on it to hold it together. The towels didn’t match and didn’t look clean. One little bar of soap to use for showering and washing hands floors were dirty and dust everywhere. We were charged twice for the dumpy room. We ended up leaving and going up the road do not waste your time here
