A lovely hotel on the main road, in a small town ten minutes off the Autobahn. Plenty of parking, and the room had already been cooled to a liveable temperature when we arrived on a hot afternoon. Very quiet at night, though some plumbing noise.
In-room internet is a bit shonky (contracted out to GermanHotspot and the wifi APs are cheap and nasty) but can be made to work with some effort.
A very fine restaurant serves traditional German dishes (and has an outdoor area by the river with barbecues in summer), and the house beers are Franziskaner and König Ludwig Dunkel. Breakfast wasn't as varied as in some places but plenty to get one set up for the day.
Not a shiny modern hotel but I will definitely stay here again if breaking a trip in the area.
