We could have been on the deck all day long - the shade from the trees, the views of the lake and the wonderful chairs were amazing.

Excellent place for a family vacation

A newly remodeled home with a beautiful new deck and picture windows. Plenty of games and toys for the kids. The dock had paddle boards, a kayak and a canoe. we would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation

There is something for everyone at The Oak Lake House on Wanteska. The paddle boards, kayak and canoe were awesome to have there and the dock is large enough for a group. It is a quiet neighborhood with beautiful wildlife and the view is amazing from the deck. We will definitely be staying here again.

Hidden Gem

This charming home is tucked away in the trees overlooking a lovely quiet lake. The rooms are spacious and the property well equipped. Parking three cars took some shuffling but didn’t diminish our desire to return for another family gathering.

Great get away

The house was beautifully situated on a lake. The deck has a magnificent view. The kitchen is equipped better than my own at home! The neighborhood was vwry peaceful with deer visiting every morning. It was the perfect place for a girlfriend long weekend.

Little disappointed in lake view property at Connestee Falls

Cute house but very steep driveway. Clean inside but not clean outside. Chairs were very dirty on balconies and gutters were full of leaves. Inside of house looked newer in photos. Outdated inside. No tvs in bedrooms

Spring Break Trip with Family

House was great! Lots of room and we loved the lake! Mountains were beautiful! Booked thrpugh VRBO and the main gate didnt have our reservation for access to the community. It was easily fixed but if we would have arri ed late, we may not have gotten into the house.

Connestee Falls House

Family vaca at Oak Lake House in Connestee Falls gated neighborhood near Brevard, NC. 8 adults for 4 nights. Wonderful experience. Best feature of this property is the back deck with its view of the lake and surrounding forest. The hiking trails inside Connestee are fantastic and varied. Highly recommend this property for its location, comfort, spaciousness, access to Lake Waneska and all that the Connestee Falls neighborhood has to offer.

Guys Trip

We loved the house with all the amenities. It was raining while we were there so the gym was a hit with the guys. Also the grill was awesome for 7 big eaters! The kitchen equipment was excellent. I really like the ability to make tea quickly. I would definitely rent again.

Amazing Vacation House!

We had a wonderful week on Lake Wanteska! The house was great and well appointed. The dock, canoe, and kayak were awesome and we spent a lot of time on the water. Would rent this house again!

Beautiful lake and neighborhood

Enjoyed the lake house so much. Wish it wouldn't have rained as much as it did. Short drive into Brevard. Quiet and peaceful.

Huge house, plenty of room. All the linens were provided even extra blankets. The game room was full of different games and we enjoyed the lake. The view was amazing!

Perfect Lake Getaway

The Oak Lake House on Wanteska was a perfect house for our family and friends. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of plates, glasses, silverware and small appliances. It was a nice perk to have beginning paper products provided as well as dish and laundry detergent and shampoo/body wash. The house was extremely clean and the layout was great. The kids were able to have their own space downstairs while the adults were able to hang out on the main floor. They also loved the ping pong table out in the garage. There are 94 steps to get down to the dock. The lake was SO clean and a great temperature! The kayak, paddleboards and canoe were great amenities to have. The kids also loved the lily pad sort of float too. We enjoyed the hikes and waterfall in the neighborhood as well. We would highly recommend this rental. The kids are already asking when we can go back!
