I liked that this place was out of town. I enjoyed the small towns around and the monuments. There was lots of things to do in this area.

No room at the inn!
We arrived and discovered there was no room reserved for us. I had not received anything stating no vacancy. We had to go find another motel in a very small town - which was pretty difficult.

Spent 2 hours getting rid of flies….to have more reappear while sleeping…did not get much sleep due to flies. A updated air conditioner would be nice…one that shuts off and on automatically. Had to get up multiple times during the night to turn air conditioner off and on. Most of all the campers on site seemed to be for rent rather than rv’ers just passing through…little bit of a misrepresentation of RV camping.

First of all, I apologize for the flies we do spray for them at least twice a week. We are right down the road from my feedlot so that does not help.Second of all, we have not even been here a year, so making improvements is taking time you have to have money to do that with. We are working on the air conditioners as we speak.As for the campers, these people all are working people they are here to work on our highways, construction and other work. They are all their very own campers we do not own any of them. I’m sorry you saw that way, but all these people work and work hard. I hope you will read this and understand where I’m coming from. And I also wish that people would come to me face-to-face with their complaints instead of posting them online. I don’t mind if something is wrong or I’ve done something wrong. But flies are kind of out of my control And I do take offense to the fact that you think my campground looks rundown

After a long days drive, this was all I needed, a clean relatively inexpensive room on my way to my destination. The owner was friendly and all went as planned.

Reserved room prior to arriving. When I arrived lady said she didn’t have any reservations for today. Looked at her calendar and saw my name as a reservation. Said she had no rooms. No real apology. The place was dirty and she had three dogs barking like crazy caged up by the office. Looked to be a mix of permanent and passing through rvs in the Rv park. Do not recommend. Office was dirty can’t imagine how dirty the rooms are. I don’t know what is up with the reviews and wonder if they are real.

My office is not dirty, we also live here. Yes it is cluttered, but not dirty. I did apologize to you. I am still new to this business and I do make mistakes. Dogs are not caged up. As for the rooms they are clean and comfortable. It is busy here and some days the office gets a little cluttered. I’m sorry you think so unkind of us.

Quaint, convenient, clean. Manager literally lives at the office so 24/7 service and very friendly. Accomodations and facilities are lean for the $. But most customers are probably stop & go - the motel is certainly adequate for that.

Very retro paneling, felt very homey. Pillows were not great, mattress was very hard compared to what were used to but we slept OK because we were so tired from the drive. The owner was delightful and very friendly. I would recommend when she replaces the carpet to put in vinyl flooring. The carpet felt old and didn’t look clean. It was very nice to have a full-size refrigerator, and the water pressure was great in the shower. Very nice it was so pet friendly.

Thank you for your comments. We are in the process of replacing the flooring. It is purchased and doing rooms as we can. Sorry you didn’t like the mattress they are new as well but not pillow top. We enjoyed visiting and take all comments into consideration. Thank you for your honesty. Hope to see you again and hope by then we have more of the upgrades, flooring done.

It was fine.
Laurie was helpful and the location was fine. It was right off a major road, so there was some traffic noise and also some train noise. The doors into the room and the bathroom stuck.

The day after I made the reservation they sent me an email cancelling it. They said they had booked it earlier that day yet had not time to remove availability off your website. Difficulty accessing you website was their reason. I called Travelocity to confirm it was cancelled and I got an apology. Is this follow up email a joke? For the entire two week travel bookings of my vacation I did not use your site. As long as I can remember I will not use nor recommend the Travelocity site. I cannot trust it’s accuracy. Booking should not be stressful. What do I get for this minor inconvenience….a mocking email asking how my stay was.

Quaint and comfortable
What you would expect from a mom and pop establishment. The manager was very friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions. The room was clean and comfortable, but needed a little updating. Continental breakfast would have been nice, but there was no room for that.

Huge room in the middle of no where. Check in was friendly. Only complaint was loud AC unit, but it was hot enough that we were grateful for it anyway.

Lovely little place
This is a lovely little motel about 20 minutes from Chimney Rock. The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean and the towels were real towels (not those tissue paper ones you usually get). And there is a super cute and friendly guard cat named Riley that I was considering cat-napping. I would definitely stay here again.
