Location the winner

Great location. Walk to all the amenities and beaches in Point Lookout.Small cottage. Its an old school 50s beach shack but has everything you need and bus stop a few m.s away. The owners have worked with this aesthetic so it feels very relaxed and not like a bland serviced apartment.

Brilliant location on the fabulous Straddie, walking distance to Look Out Point for amazing whale watching and the beautiful Frenchman’s beach. The house is basic, beach style but has everything you need.

The only thing - can you please get a frying pan for the property. Other than that everything was great. Fantastic location as well!

Basically it was a very good stay

Could do with a fan in the living area and maybe some side lamps. Some curtains over the main doors. The living area chairs were damaged and i had to fix one near the washing machine to replace it. Other than that, we loved the stay and it was a very convenient location.

The property was clean and tidy, it is in a very convenient location in a beautiful part of the world.

Close to everything and really well priced, would highly recommend!

Confortable Straddie beach shack experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at Frogmouth. The house is very cute, clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We were surprised how well equipped the kitchen was for cooking - sharp knives and all the basics we needed. The beds were comfortable and we didn’t find the location to be particularly noisy despite the main road location, which was central and excellent for a quick walk to a couple of beaches. This is not a fancy, high tech house and perhaps some other reviewers needed to manage their expectations. It’s old, imperfect but authentic and stylish. It looks like a house that is still used by the owners with some nice furniture and all the basics considered and provided. We hope to come back regularly and repeat our simple beach holiday experience.

Reviewer Comments: Frogmouth is a classic Straddie ‘shack’ in a very convenient location, an easy walk to Deadman’s, Cylinder, the pub and Bob’s shop.The new owners have cleaned the place up well.It would suit young families on a budget, but be aware the wifi and TV reception can be patchy and there’s no dishwasher. My only suggestions for improvement are more subtle lighting in the living area and a fence to the road, which is busy by Straddie standards.

The place was a cute original home. Very basic, but clean. Perfect if you like rustic / old world.No blinds on windows in bedroom wasn't great for sleepers who are easily woken.

Very close to Deadmans Beach and the local shops. Set back from road (so very little traffic noise). I stayed in late May, but had no issues with being cold at night. It might be a bit small for 3 or more people, but I'd definitely stay there again.

Das Cottage ist fantastisch fünf Gehminuten vom Lookout und zehn Minuten vom Strand gelegen. Vintage passt als Beschreibung richtig gut. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber richtig schöne Atmosphäre. Ein nettes gemütliches Landhaus. Im Winter können die Nächte allerdings etwas kühl und zugig sein. Hier sollte noch nachgearbeitet werden.
