“We loved our stay with Linda. The property is an old house that she keeps nicely and comfortably. We had an initial problem with hot water but Linda had it fixed the following day. The breakfast was amazing and the area around relaxing. You do need a car to go places and they close early. ”
“Lovely house with great wraparound porch and gorgeous plants & trees. The lilacs, which I love, were blooming which was absolutely delightful - so aromatic and beautiful!
The bed was very comfy and the view of the town and water was joyful. There's a lovely art gallery, used bookstore, and plenty of dining options nearby.
A very sweet couple manages the inn and they're excellent cooks - Captain Sawyer's breakfast was beyond delicious - one day it was just me and they served huevos rancheros……
“We stayed at the Stone House for 3 days in July and had a wonderful time. Jane, our host, was great: kind and generous, friendly and helpful in every way. The breakfasts were deliscious and Jane accomodated my gluten free needs with ease. The house was immaculate, and quiet. Our room was very spacious and the bed soooo comfortable. We walked to Popham Beach and back for a lovely day at the ocean. We want to return!!”
“Lovely roomy inn in South Bristol, Maine on Christmas cove. The hosts Alex a nd Freddy were very friendly and welcoming. My room was spacious with a private full bath.
There is a tower you can go up to via several staircases to an amazing view overlooking the water and pine trees.
The made to order breakfasts were delicious. Lots of beverages available at anytime. We had some nice conversations. They are still remodeling and redecorating some areas from their new owership a year ago. ”
“We loved this place. Beautiful new rooms with full fridge/freezer and k-cup coffee machine. Porch all around the building was so nice to have to breakfast and take-out dinner. The breakfast at this b&b were fantastic. You have a choice of three things the night before and they deliver to your room in the morning. We ate on the porch overlooking the harbor. 2 minute walk to town and shops and restaurants. No car needed once you’re there. Loved it. mark who took care of us was fantastic!”
“This property was beautiful, comfortable and clean, centrally located but out of the main street crowds. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance so it worked out well. We would go back in a minute!! Carol is the ultimate hostess, and serves an amazing breakfast!!!!”
“Loved the view from top floor apartment. Restaurant very good for dinner & dinner. Nice landscaping, quiet fishing harbor, great service. Highly recommend.”
“A very unique property out of a Steven King mystery.
The bathroom had a wonderful handpainted mural.
Couple of miner things, light over bathroom sink did not work and no tissues in room.”
“Our week in Maine at Stonehouse Manor was even better than we had imagined! We found ourselves at a beautiful B&Bin an historic home, close to wonderful Popham Beach, local trails, and an easy drive to Bath. The setting of the house is incredible and rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and updated.Jane’s hospitality brought another level of enjoyment and comfort. She is very knowledgeable about the area, and could advise us about places to explore. Her breakfasts were wonderful. And best of all……
“We enjoyed our stay at the Newcastle Inn. Our innkeeper, Julie, was friendly and helpful. She made an excellent recommendation for dinner and served a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon. We had never spent time in the Newcastle area. We will definitely visit the Inn again. ”
“We stayed in the small cottage behind the main house from which we could see the harbor through her lovely little flower garden. We only made it to one breakfast but that one was delicious. she was always friendly and helpful.”
“The Inn was great. It is located near the shopping and the docks. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was good. I hope to go back in the future. I would recommend to my family and friends. ”
“Was a great B and B. Not too hard to find. We found it without a working GPS. Such a beautiful old farm house with artwork all over the walls. Breakfast is too die for lol. Dominika makes a great buckwheat blueberry pancakes and eggs and shrimp. The rooms are nicely furnished in a farm country style. The gardens out back are a must to explore. We were amazed by how much flowers one can fit into a small plot. Wish we had explored it sooner then right before we left.”
