HOT TUB, GAME ROOM. 8 KAYAKS with life jackets provided for free. Stunning River view!! No close neighbors to worry about being up late or keeping quiet. Enjoy the wildlife from birds to an occasional Bald Eagle. Fish from the banks or jump in a kayak and head out to the sandbar 300 ft from the house where locals gather by boat to hang out when the weather is right. This beautifully renovated home boasts a brand new 7 person hot tub and game room with spectacular views of the Saint Joseph River. Located 15 minutes from Middlebury and Elkhart and only 20 minutes from Shipshewana! Notre Dame is also only a 30 minute drive. There is room to park 5 vehicles. 7 if you want to use the lawn. There is room to park a boat trailer on the lawn if you want to bring your own boat. There is a golf course a couple miles down the road. There are 3 queen beds, 2 full beds/ bunkbeds, 5 twin beds/bunkbeds.

Everything you could want
Our family of 12 stayed here and had a wonderful time! Lots to do, cozy location, plenty of dining options nearby… we can’t say enough. In addition, the manager was very responsive to any questions that came up. Lots of great memories were made and we look forward to coming back again.

This was one of the best properties we have stayed at. There was everything we needed there, likd pots, pans utensils, we did not need to supplement any kitchen items or any items period. Very clean and bright, great views, comfy seating and wonderful mattress. We will be staying here again!

Perfect spot for rest and relaxation!
This was the perfect place for an extended stay (3 weeks). The house was well stocked, very clean, and with plenty of space and beds for all. The house stayed warm in sub zero temps, which was important for these Florida residents! :) The kids especially enjoyed the game room, while the adults loved having coffee by the wall of windows overlooking the river, complete with stunning views of snow and wildlife. (We were thrilled by the beaver that swims back and forth in front of the back porch!) The hot tub was a lovely addition. The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly and checked in with us every so often to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, we'd give 10 stars if we could. We will carry fond memories of this trip with us and will return to this River Retreat if we can!

Daughter’s Birthday Getaway
We loved the River retreat house especially the river! The views were awesome and the house had its privacy. We took the kayaks down river and put in at the park right in Bristol and pulled out right at house. It was the highlight of the trip. As the listing states there is 8 kayaks but there was only 7 paddles and 7 life jackets, one being for a small child. We saw a ton of wildlife just sitting on the wrapped around deck. The kitchen has all the amenities you need to prepare meals. There is AC in every room, however the one in the living room is sort of loud. Think ‘phone off the hook’ sound, but since we were outside most of our trip it wasn’t distracting at all. The Hot tub was clean and warm when we arrived. The Ski ball table in the game room doesn’t work. The house comes with tons of firewood so you definitely won’t be running out to buy more. We loved our stay and would totally book again!

Great stay on River
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this river retreat! The owners were very nice and responsive to any questions or issues we had. It was a family reunion with all ages and we all enjoyed it! The house right on the river was so relaxing. We got to do some fishing, although not the best location on the river to fish. We loved the fire pit and use of the pontoon boat and hot tub! Would definitely recommend this house!!
