Welcome to Lookout Lodge, a unique luxury log cabin located in the beautiful Beavers Bend State Park area of Hochatown, OK! Stepping inside, you will find an open floor plan of the grand family room, kitchen, and dining room area. The open style, large cathedral ceilings, custom rock fireplace, and cozy rustic cabin furnishings truly make this room a favorite spot in this cabin. The focal point of the living area is the 8 ft. wall- to-wall picture window that features an amazing view of the surrounding native oak and pine trees of the Ouachita National forest! You truly feel surrounded by nature, while enjoying the comfort and luxury of being indoors.
The 1st floor suite features its own patio that provides a peaceful start before your day begins or a relaxing end after you’ve enjoyed all the area has to offer. It has a large queen size bed and a set of bunk beds, for use as a family room if needed. Upstairs are 2 more bedrooms: the King master suite and the bunk room. The master suite is warm and inviting, with French doors entering the bedroom and a 2nd set of French doors going to the private outside balcony. The bunk room features 2 sets of bunk beds (4 twins) and a private full bath with double vanities.
Next---up, up, and away! It is time for another climb up the stairs to the lookout tower! Enjoy the views below, out into the forest, and across the mountains as you are perched up 3 stories high! Kids of all ages will love the privacy of the tower, which also features a twin bed and a TV for DVD movies. It’s a snug little space, sleeping up to two small guests, but the Tower provides the best views in the house!
Outside is where all the exploring happens, and Lookout Lodge provides ample exploring adventures for its guests! There are 2 old logging roads on the property that offer fun, and lots of room to roam, with 2 acres of private land making it very inviting for nature walks. (Bring your Deep Woods insect repellent, we are in the FOREST!)
The back deck offers plenty of patio seating and dining options for meals outdoors while enjoying the sounds and beauty of the forest. Rocking chairs abound for some after-dinner lounging and cozy conversations.
No matter what the occasion, whether it is a relaxing weekend getaway or a busy family reunion, Lookout Lodge is equipped to do it all and will not let you down. Once you depart, don’t be surprised when you find yourself looking in the rear view mirror and planning your next vacation to this “private little hideaway” before you even get out of the driveway.
BEDROOM configuration:
Total beds: 1 King, 1 Queen, 6 twins (as bunk beds), 1 additional twin. (Please bring additional bedding if you will be bringing more than 11 guests.)
Bathrooms: 3 full bathrooms; all bedrooms are en suite with large tubs and showers.
TV/DVDs: 1 in each bedroom (3) and 1 in the family room, all with DirecTV; TV in tower plays DVDs only.
Maximum occupancy: 11 Guest Comfortably, or 17 guests, and You will need to bring additional bedding for maximum occupancy (air mattresses, sleeping bags, etc.)
