The cottage was a breath of fresh air. Rustic, clean and secluded. Despite the long drive, the cottage welcomed us into total relaxation. We will definitely be returning to paradise.

Loved our stay! We chose this place on our road trip to Georgian bay Ontario on our move from BC and I’m so happy we did! Such a classic rustic style cottage that transports you back to before cottages became modern day houses. The cottage had so many classic cute little touches, a lovely new style picnic table, fire pit and a bbq! Super cute little beach with a dock to swim too and you get to see so many stars at night here such a magical spot! We cannot wait to be back

The property owner was very nice. We stayed in a cottage for one night. The surrounding area was excellent. The lake is step away. Picnic table and BBQ grill around the cottage. Lots parking space surrounded by colourful trees. Long hiking trails on the island. The cottage equipped an electric range. We used it to cook breakfast. This is great place to stay.

As campers - we enjoyed the primitive cabin feel with some of the kitchen amenities. Amazingly clean given the age and location. Fun to use the boats and explore the island. Unique Stay!

Gorgeous spot

An adorable waterfront cottage, a step out to the beach and dock, kayaks and bikes to borrow- and stocked up with firewood. My kids loved the “kids clubhouse” as they named it- toys, books and movies. My whole family loved this spot- a beautiful place, we would come every year if we could.

I love this place! Quiet, peaceful and an amazing place.to just.sit and relax. The cottages are.a home away from home but better! The view of the lake is amazing and at night time the stars are beautiful. Everything you need is there and there is plenty to do. The owners are phenomenal! I highly.recoend this place hands down! Will be back again and again!!

Incredible value! Friendly property managers, a well outfitted and cute cabin, and plenty of activities to do make this a wonderful stay. Pat was incredibly welcoming and heartwarming, the place is cozy and the view is spectacular. Came in on a rainy day, wish I was able to stay longer it was truly breath taking! I could’ve stayed there for a week or longer. Didn’t want to leave when it was time to go. Absolutely loved my time at Bruce Bay cottage. Hope to see you again!

These cottages and the island are a piece of the history of this area and we were thrilled with our stay. Very rustic and unspoiled - Pat made us feel 100% welcome :) Everything we could want or need was readily available … canoes, bicycles, wood for the outdoor campfire or woodstove in the cottage all included - she even made sure we knew where to find the best view of the sunset! We wanted a rustic, comfy, unspoiled place to stay and this place delivered that experience 100%. We would have loved to stay longer and experience staying at the lighthouse that’s for sure!

We loved it. Have already rebooked another stay for this fall. Proprieters were very kind, rates are very reasonable, and the views are spectacular. Wifi hot spot really easy to access vis your smartphone. Firewood for woodstove and fire pit was free and plentiful, kitchens and washroom well-equipped. Beds were a little hard for our bodies, and it was a little chilly in the mornings (cottages are not insulated), but it's a cottage in the woods, so you have to accept that going into this. We loved it.

Rustic and simple cottage (Cottage #1), but lovely property and amazing host Pat. It is important to note that we visited during a cold spell in September (overnight lows around 6 degrees), and the only heat is via a small woodburning stove inside. We arrived late (9:30 pm), so we needed to get a fire going immediately. Note that you will likely have a smoky smell on your belongings - such is the nature of woodburnjng stoves, especially when they initially are getting up to temperature. The cottage is quaint / rustic, but the appliances work well. Hot water is plentiful. The main bed is comfy, but the 2nd bed is soft. The kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, etc - but make sure you bring your own coffee (and filters) or tea, plus any coffee condiments or other groceries you might want. Due to our late arrival and early departure, we didn't get to enjoy the various offerings of the area. Pat was an excellent and friendly host, and was accommodating to our late arrival. Again, this is quite a rustic experience - especially in cooler weather - but a beautiful location.
