“We found this Ruston cottage to be clean, inviting and stocked with everything a person (or their dog) could need, again! This was our 2nd time renting this cute little house and last time was our very 1st vacation rental by owner, of any sort. “Beautiful property right on the water. The forest cabin was warm and cozy and had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen stocked with the essential equipment, and the screen in the loft was a nice touch - I was able to plug in my laptop via HDMI and stream movies in bed. If I was there for work, I would've been able to use it to work on as well. There are trails on the property for hiking, and it is a short walk down to the beach. “Overall, ok. I would love to give a 5 star review however there were issues. Check in time was 4 pm. When we arrived there was a car out front so we thought we had the wrong address. We couldn’t check in until 5 because cleaners were still there. Owner was aware and didn’t offer anything for our inconvenience. We had been driving for 5 hrs. Yard is under construction which is not mentioned in ad. No clean towels anywhere. Finally found them wet and smelling like mold in washing machine. Cleaners……

“We have stayed at many wonderful places through the years but this one, by far had the nicest touches. First, it was way more spacious than we thought. The layout is perfect and so nice for a family. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were nicely appointed. We were greeted with the nicest treats and amenities. It was a perfect way to begin. I can’t rave enough about this home! From booking to check-out, it was amazing and we will be back!”

“This home is exactly as pictured. VERY clean! Very welcoming. Close to cute shops and restaurants within walking distance or a short drive to Buckley, Bonney Lake or Sumner. Owner was great with communication and called me to respond to a message I had sent to facilitate a quicker response. A great coffee bar with a wide selection is provided for guests. Neighborhood was quiet. I definitely recommend and will book again for my return visits.”

“Small, but clean in a good neighborhood. Pet friendly, with a yard for running around. Property is a tri plex with 3 cottages sharing one yard. We did accidently park in the wrong spot on the first day and the long term tenant next door pounded on our door at 1am to get us to move. Other than that it was a great stay.”

The fact that it’s a completely remodeled, period style home was a quirky bonus, until we got there. Every detail was perfect, from the furniture down to music playing when we walked in.
