"We had an amazing stay at Quinta San Francisco! From the moment we entered their beautiful boutique hotel we were treated like royalty. Fresh coffee and water were available all day and evening and we were given a quick tour of the property as well. The room was small but lovely and well appointed! We enjoyed our night in the comfortable bed and took advantage of the onsite restaurant - which we had to ourselves! Fantastic stay!"

"A fabulous little place, on our way back to the ferry at Santander, but in a remote corner of northern Spain. Around 15 miles off the beaten track and surrounded by gorgeous countryside but only 1.5 hours from the port. We received a warm welcome from our hostess, Karmah, who looked after our every need, supplying local information, as well as cooking us a splendid evening meal. Highly recommend to anyone visiting northern Spain. A proper little rural gem."

"The rooms were above a restaurant and bar in a very old building. We had a very friendly welcome and we were able to eat a 3 course lunch when we arrived as we were hungry after walking. The room was lovely and large and the bathroom had a great shower. It was easy to find and the hotel was able to accommodate our luggage transfer. The hotel is right on the Camino path. "

"We chose this hotel because it was an hour from Santander and just off our main route from Portugal to the ferry port for the UK. Lovely town with impressive old centre and lovely riverside walks. Lively market the day we arrived (Tuesday). Be aware that self-parking is actually free on-street parking but area seems very secure so we left most of our extensive contents in car and had no problem. Also,hotel restaurant non-functioning so sought dinner in town and nowhere open until 9pm. But...
