Great location

Wonderful time in Burlington! The location is great, close to downtown and bike path. There was everything we needed and the space is amazingly comfortable. Will definitely rent here again when we visit Burlington.

Perfect for two people!

This property is a perfect place to stay for two people. We loved the distance from downtown, the size of the apartment, and everything about it! Highly recommend this property if you want to be a short ways from downtown and driving distance to anything.

Wonderful Getaway!

My husband and I recently returned from a quick weekend getaway at the Carriage House Wellness Suite; the property was perfect for us! It was immaculate, comfortable, and private. Mary Ann, the host, thought of everything, right down to chocolates on the bedside tables! Church Street, in downtown Burlington, is very close by and is walkable. We really enjoyed the shops, restaurants, breweries, the charm of the city, and the beautiful lake views! We will be back, for sure!

Delightful Stay!

My husband and I spent LDW at the Carriage House in Burlington. We had perfect weather so we walked to town (1 mile). We did not rent a car and were able to walk everywhere (except the airport). It was nice to have the fridge and stove to make breakfast in the morning. We used the French press and drank coffee on the balcony. It was very private and comfortable. Exactly what we had expected from the positive reviews!

Lovely!

The Wellness Suite was exactly as described/pictured. Very well equipped, clean, and we really appreciated all of the thoughtful extras. We brought our bikes, and there is a secure place to lock them up so you didn’t have to have them on your car’s bike rack when doing other activities. Mary Ann was super responsive to all of our questions and provided great instructions for how to access the property, use equipment, where extras were stored. Thank you - we hope to be back!

Beautiful suite in downtown Burlington

We stayed here on our last two days in the New England. Mary Ann has thought of everything including a nice welcome surprise. The only appliance I missed was a garbage disposal! Cooking was easy and sleeping was wonderful. I loved the location - close to downtown and a great area to walk in. If the weather had been warmer we would have used the deck. Do be aware that this is upstairs so you will need to carry luggage up the flight of stairs. Regardless, I'd highly recommend this lodging.

Fabulous!

I stayed at the Wellness Suite in Burlington with my 21 year old daughter for 4 nights over Memorial Day. The suite is absolutely charming, thoughtfully decorated and equipped with so many small and charming details (chocolates by the bedside, filtered water, coffee, half and half, milk, apple cider and a bottle of local wine to greet us on arrival, to name a few). Mary Anne (the owner/host) and her husband were kind, helpful, attentive and there was still a sense of complete privacy even though you are on their property (essentially in an apartment built over the garage overlooking beautifully landscaped gardens). They are really nice people and made us feel welcome and cared about. The kitchenette has everything you need for preparing light meals (we ate breakfast in and BBQ'd one night). The living room area and bedroom are sufficiently separate so that my daughter could do things in her area and I could relax in the other room. There was also a washer/dryer which we used as we got pretty grimy climbing Camel's Hump Mountain. Burlington is a jewel of a city and you are a nice walk from Church Street (the pedestrian mall) and the waterfront where there is a lovely bike path. The Vermont marathon was Sunday and Mary Anne invited us to watch in front of the house while sipping coffee on one of the benches in the front yard. It was great and I felt like I lived in Burlington for the weekend! The only issue that arose was a heat wave during the time we were there which was very atypical for Vermont. The main room is very well air-conditioned and there are fans in the living room and bedroom, but no AC unit in the bedroom so it was warm in there during the day. I know Mary Anne is working on installing something unobtrusive in the bedroom for future seasons. At night it cooled sufficiently to be very comfortable for sleeping and once the weather broke we turned off the AC and kept the screen door to the charming porch open and got cool cross ventilation. I would absolutely return and was incredibly appreciative of Mary Anne and her husband (they also offered to be surrogate adults for my daughter as she completes her senior year at UVM!). In the winter there is a fireplace that warms the suite and I imagine foliage season must be spectacular there as you are perched on a hill and can glance the lake in the distance. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Mary Anne’s carriage house was cozy, well-stocked, and impeccably clean. We were provided with detailed, easy instructions for everything. We loved this place and can’t wait to come back!

Marys Place

We hope to stay at Marys Place each year and have enjoyed our stay during our visits. Her unique touches are so appreciated and very much feels like "home"! Beautiful accomodations, lovely linens, exquisite taste across her lovely home. Looking forward to another stay in October!!!

The Wellness Suite really was sweet! Very comfortable, with lots of extra nice touches - coffee, tea, juice, milk, and some very handy packets of oatmeal and granola for breakfast. Perfect for a Burlington Experience

This place is perfectly located for a Burlington experience. The location is less than a half a mile from downtown and the space is wonderful. The carriage house has a spacious and comfortable balcony that gives you a glimpse of Lake Champlain. The space has a wonderfully stocked kitchen and the bedroom overlooks a lovely garden with flowers, birds and squirrels providing entertainment. The space was well planned and even had a small washer and dryer which came in handy. I was impressed with the eco friendly set up with bio friendly cleaning supplies, recycling, and composting. Best of all is that we felt pampered by the extra touches of wine, chocolate, coffee, milk and juice. It truly lived up to its wellness experience. We rented bicycles and explored everything within the city by bike. It was so nice to leave our car parked in the driveway for the entire visit. We highly recommend this space for a perfect Burlington experience. The host really understands the needs of travelers. We can’t say enough about how welcome we felt and the conscientiousness of this host!!!. Kudos to this host and the comfortable and well stocked living space!!!

Amazing spot close to everything

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to church street for lunch and dinner, and it was a super easy drive to the lake. The location is close to the airport, and it is easy to get to the highway to travel to other parts of Vermont. It was clean, organized, and well appointed. The bed is very soft so be aware of that if that style of mattress is not what you need. We were there during a heat wave, so the room did get warm, but Mary Ann provided a little space cooler that helped a lot! Mary Ann was so easy to reach when we needed her and was extremely helpful. Overall, we had a truly amazing trip and would highly recommend this VRBO!

Wonderful stay

Perfect Getaway

We really enjoyed staying at the Carriage Barn. Mary Ann thought of every little detail to make our weekend so comfortable from the filtered water to the bottle of wine. We walked downtown to the farmers market and dined several times on Church Street. We will definitely be coming back soon!

Weekend of solitude

This place was immaculate and just perfect for a weekend of solitude and relaxation. It was a little less than a mile to Church St and the downtown waterfront. I walked everywhere. Note: the house is at a top of a hill. At the bottom of the hill was the farmers market, ArtsRiot (not open when I was there) plus a few places to grab a beer or glass of wine. I would totally stay at this place again.

Perfect Carriage House

The Wellness Suite is perfect for a couple visiting Burlington. It’s in an ideal location— walkable to the Church Street Marketplace and many other fabulous restaurants. Mary Ann provides wonderful touches throughout her impeccably designed and maintained space. The Wifi was very good allowing my husband to work remote for part of the time we were there. One of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed at! Do not hesitate to book this carriage house if it’s available. We were very lucky that the dates were free for a quick weekend visit in the summer.

Wedding Weekend

This was a fantastic place to stay! My wife and I attended a wedding and were looking for somewhere more affordable than the many overpriced hotels in the area. We could not have been happier when we lucked out and found this suit. We were less than a mile from downtown Burlington (we walked to town most days), air conditioning was in the suit, and the host was amazing. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking to stay in Burlington.
