Had a family reunion of sorts here- gorgeous property. Cabin-feel with modern touches- the most beautiful countertops and tile!!! Super private- we loved watching the turtles in the cove & sipping our morning coffee and evening wine by the pool.

There were clear instructions on how to use different things, like the fireplace and hot tub , which we enjoyed very much. We were there for a winter wedding, so we didn’t get to use the water activities.

This house was perfect for my family--6 adults and 5 boys. We loved the location--right at the end of the creek. The boys had so many choices of activities from kayaking, to swimming in the gorgeous pool, to playing on the playground, to hiking. The list goes on and on. They also loved going to the community area and playing on the water trampoline and rope swing. Another added plus in the house--upstairs there was a little desk with all kinds of art supplies!! They loved drawing pictures and doing art crafts during the brief rain showers we had. We will definitely come back next year. It was.a great memory maker for my family!

The kitchen is a dream to work in even when preparing meals for large groups of people. Everyone loved the pool and the waterfront access for fishing and water craft.Two recommendations:1. Shades or blinds for living room. Living room was not habitable for 3 or 4 hours each afternoon with the sun and heat beating in through the big windows.2. Upgrade air conditioning for Master bedroom, bedroom above, and upstairs loft. Maintenance came promptly when called about lack of cooling and brought another supplemental unit for the upstairs room, but the temps were just tolerable.A separate point, the outlets on the outside walls of the master bedroom did not work.

All the houses were immaculate - not even a spider web on the porches. Elkhart Lodge, with the soaring windows and beautiful kitchen and swimming pool was a favorite. We easily fed the whole group there and with all the outdoor areas, there was plenty of room for visiting, fishing and playing. Our grands especially enjoyed toad and turtle hunting along the waterway. There is a playground and open area beside the property that we used as well. With the amenities at the lake front Common Area, Elkhart Lodge was a perfect choice for our group and we would love to stay there again.

The patio and view off the back deck is great. The property owners are fair and professional. We got flooded out last year during the great flood. Being able to stay all together in this nice big home made for sharing great times as a family. It's a beautiful home, well equipped with all we needed and more.
