"From the moment we arrived, this hotel felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely inviting. It had a personal touch that made it feel less like a commercial hotel and more like a place where the owners truly care about their guests. The staff was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and eager to make sure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality made a lasting impression. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the entire property had a cozy, homey atmosphere that made it easy to relax. It's the kind of place where you feel welcome rather than just accommodated. Overall, this was a very good experience, and we would gladly stay here again. If you're looking for a hotel with character, excellent service, and a comfortable, home-like feel, this is an excellent choice."

Four Season Retreat - Modern And Secluded White Iron Lakeshore Cabin on 5 Acres

"It was a good place to stay, beautiful view of the lake, plenty of room, nice kitchen. This was the first time, though, that I can recall we were asked to strip the beds and put the sheets in a laundry basket and start a load of laundry. The biggest drawback, and we don’t fault the host for this, is that the place had no air conditioning. We’re familiar with Northern Minnesota, and it’s generally cooler than the upper 80s and low 90s that we experienced this past weekend. There were some fans in the house and we brought several of our own, and it was still nearly unbearably hot, which took away from our enjoyment of the place. Given what’s happening with the world climate, you may want to consider adding air conditioning. Another challenge was getting down to the lake. We had no idea the cabin was so far above the lake level. Three people in our group of six did not even attempt going down. A new stairway is sorely needed. Aside from all that, the place was good and we had a good time. Thanks."
