Excellent place to stay

We could not find fault with our overnight stay. Set in beautiful location which made it peaceful place to stay. Everything was clean, well looked after and in a safe environment. Food and staff were excellent. Would go again.

Very nice welcome from Jane at Reception. Comfortable room and lovely breakfast. I have a dairy free diet and was really pleased to see lots of alternatives in the breakfast buffet.

We were away for my son's birthday. We were upgraded to a king junior suite and the room was excellent! As it was my son's birthday they made up a birthday plate and also a balloon in the room, which was a nice suprise. Unfortunately no England players were around during our stay but we had a lovely time. Breakfast was also very nice too.

Fantastic (literally)... 😁

Superb location to stay after visiting the NEC. Definitely worth visiting for anyone with more than a passing interest in football. Grand entrance hall and communal areas. Good health club and 17 meter pool. Sauna and steam room could be used by children aged 7 years and over with adults. Ice scrub and ice cold shower is also fun. Good quality and variety of food both at breakfast, and dinner.

First I bought enough tescos vouchers to cover the advertised cost but couldn't use £30 of them as the taxes couldn't be paid with vouchers. We had dinner and after 45 mins was told had forgot to put order in. 30 mins later dinner arrived and had taken order wrong. I asked to take service charge off bill and was quizzed why, bit embarrassing as I thought why was obvious food took an hour and 15 to arrive and didn't deliver correct order. Then I asked reception to turn fan off as couldn't sleep with noise, said they would be didn't. Then at 11pm someone kicked my door and woke me up. Then in the morning i went for a relaxing swim only to find lots of babies in the pool and I couldn't swim. When I mentioned to reception that they should advertise the Wednesday swim a bit more so people know when it's on and can make alternative arrangements I was told that you have a contract with water babies so that was why, which kind of missed the point really. Anyway the facilities are nice and well kept and staff were really polite but didn't really deliver a few things and didn't seemed that concerned about correcting. If the hotel was £50 a night I wouldn't have minded but at £170 a night you expect a bit better. Thought it was over priced and wouldn't stay there again.

Had an amazing stay, everything was great from start to finish. Staff, grounds, facilities, Breakfast, I would highly recommend. If I could fault one area it would be the room, it was very tiny and cramped for a family of four.

Great place for football lovers. Beautiful building, Spacious and clean. Staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. There is history, memorabilia and pictures of English football history and current achievements. The spa facilities are awesome and the staff too. No regrets and will definitely return. Just one negative was that our room had a shower but not a bath. I love to have a long hot bath when away but they tried to move us but the alternative rooms weren't suitable for us. Shout out to Finlay, Sarah and Ben who went above and beyond in assistng us with our stay.
