Hi Ana, Thanks for your review. I’m sorry to hear you didn’t have a good experience, but also surprised, given we corresponded during the period of your stay and you didn’t mention any issues. In addressing your comments, I’d first say that fortunately our other guests have certainly not had the same experience – our reviews reflect that the house is a clean, central, basic but very affordable accommodation, as per our listing information. Our home is a cottage, set up for families to have fun and make memories, but in order to offer such affordable pricing we definitely don’t claim to have state of the art appliances, or fancy cookware, but I will certainly bring down new pots and pans this weekend as I didn’t realise some of the lids had gone missing. In terms of parking, there is a huge amount of parking – if you didn’t want to park your cars behind each other in the driveway, you could certainly have parked one car on our very spacious verge, or used the public parking lot across the street. In terms of the outdoor space, our home is indeed located in a residential area, and you're correct that the fences on one side aren’t very high. And I believe that running sound you heard at night might have been a possum? They run on the roof at night, and while they’re very loud, we love hearing from the local wildlife.

Thanks Chris. As we discussed on the phone when you checked in, it's very clear when you book that there's no air conditioning at our property. Next time you book, best to check that the house you choose has the amenities you value. There were only two fans at the house because we'd taken the other ones for cleaning, since you were the only person staying at the house. We thought 2 fans would be plenty given you stayed in spring time and it was quite cool. Our home is a very reasonably priced beach shack, and our mission is to ensure families have a great, homely, comfortable place to stay. Apologies the fly screen was broken at the time of your stay - we did come over during your stay to repair it, but it was a bigger job than we thought so we couldn't fix it until after you checked out. I'm surprised at your poor review given we sent you a refund of $100 to compensate for the minor issue of the fly screen. I hope our track record of great reviews from almost all our guests speaks for itself :)
