Pruhari is a small, abandoned hamlet of about eight houses with a fascinating history, where the owners' family have lived for years. They live in one of the houses adjoining the rental property, and are generous hosts who provided us with lots of extra comforts and good company during our stay. The house itself if beautifully decorated, and we appreciated the extensive library and music collection. There is AC on the upper floor where the books, tv, and two small bedrooms (not entirely private) are located along with a shower room. Downstairs is a large farmhouse kitchen and two further double bedrooms, as well as a bathroom with large freestanding bath. Everything is furnished to a high specification and tastefully decorated.
Outside there is a dining table under the grape arbour, a pizza oven and bbq across the patio, a pool table, and across the lawn stairs ascend to the pool area with awning and loungers. There is a further hill with playground equipment and quaint hut, and the views of the sunset from here are wonderful. The property is located in a quiet, remote area near Buzet (a good supermarket, Plodine, can be found in town), with views of hills and nothing but the sound of wind in the trees - and occasional barking from the owners' two lovely dogs, who showed us some of the walking routes around the hilltop, which start from the property. We spent a week of rest and relaxation here, eating figs from the profuse tree, listening to music, swimming by day and night. Would love to return, and we wish the owners every success.
