Allthough Its in the countryside, with a lot of nature around (trees, River, sheep, Cattle, birds and Flowers- you have a stabile wifi Connection. So What ever you seek- you are able to totally relax and disconnect or connect via the net. The Host family is Nice and live also on the ground in case you Need anything. Galloway Forest Park is nearby with walks……

“Wir sind jedes Jahr in mindestens drei verschiedenen Ferienunterkünften und dieses Haus ist eines der besten bisher. Es ist absolut ruhig hier, man ist völlig allein und doch kann man innerhalb eines 30-Minuten-Radius wochenlang jeden Tag etwas Anderes machen, erst recht wenn man diesen Radius auf 60 Minuten erweitert.Das Haus ist sehr sauber, großzügig und mit allem ausgestattet, was man nur brauchen könnte. Die Betten sind sehr hochwertig und besonders bequem.In der näheren Umgebung gibt es……

“A very comfortable and warm house,we all enjoyed ourselves,4 adults and the dogs!Joan and her husband were very friendly,we were welcomed by Joan on our arrival.It was hsrd to.leave as we were settled and comfortable. Another lovely part of Dumfries and Galloway.We enjoyed the animals on the farm.Thanks again for making us feel welcome,the welcome tray of goodies also .Happy New Year.”

“House is very well designed and furnished to a very high standard and us only a 10 minute walk from the village and 5 minute walk to the golf course. The views from the decking area are beautiful. We were met by our host Kate who could not have been more helpful. Lots of beautiful walks with breath taking scenery.”

“Great spot for exploring Galloway. Hot tub overlooking the forest, and walks starting straight from the cabin. Wildlife all around. Note that it is attached to another cabin & a farm, so it's not isolated - but we did feel like we had privacy. Otherwise a washing machine could be a good addition. Dave & Becky were very helpful, we'd definitely come back!”

“A great week in Sandhead with the family, location is perfect, with the beach almost on the doorstep.House was spacious, well equipped and definitely somewhere where we will return to.”

“Really away from it all location which made travel a bit longer but so worthwhile. Large comfortable warm lodge with loads of stuff for young kids, masses of space inside and out and brilliant old style bedrooms. Lovely, helpful available onsite housekeepers. Great trip, totally worth the drive.”

“Graham, our host, has built the perfect holiday cottage. Well planned, amazingly well equiped. This is by far the best self catering property that we've ever stayed in, and they've been many in New Zealand, France, Italy, Britain and the Scotland. The amount of wildlife in the area is wonderful. An added bonus, is the house is close to everywhere you'd want to visit but also out of traffic and flight paths.”

“Immaculate, large cottage with a luxury feel and everything you could need. We loved our stay. The Welcome Basket was a lovely extra touch. The grounds are amazing. You can walk for miles. We explored beaches every day with our dog. Stranraer is 10 minutes drive. Free EV charging close-by at Wig Bay.”
