Detached Villa with Private pool, Enclosed Garden and Sun/Play Room

Detached 3 bedroom villa with private pool, WiFi, enclosed garden, large outdoor built in barbeque and 2 eating out areas. The Villa is situated on a private no through road on the edge of the peaceful and picturesque village of Rabaceira. Beautiful views of the countryside. The villa is 50 minutes from Lisbon airport. (The motorway link is excellent). The historic walled town of Obidos and the spa town of Caldas da Rainha are 15 minutes drive from the villa. Foz do Arelho (20 mins drive) is located on a beautiful sea water lagoon with excellent beaches and amenities. The famous horseshoe cove beach of Sao Martinho do Porto is just 25 minutes drive. There are 4 golf courses to suit all standards less than 1 hour drive, including Golden Eagle which is just 15 mins.

A great stay

Beautiful house, one of the best we've ever stayed on terms of equipment, both for the outside and in the kitchen. There were minor caveats, such as the problems with the boiler and the Sky receiver for the TV, but those were easily overcome with the remote assistance of Dave and Karen who were always available to reply our emails. One major issue which is not their fault but results from the surroundings (from what we were told, it's the combination of large fruit fields and livestock) are the flies. I have never seen so many flies on my life! So, one advice is to take a couple of citronella candles, especially if you plan on doing some barbecues. The pool is great and the sun cover keeps the water warm and clean. All summed up, a great choice for a quiet vacation on the Portuguese countryside.

Sehr schönes Haus mit Pool und Ausblick. Sehr hilfreiche Vermieter, die immer erreichbar sind. Das Meer ist nicht weit weg (20 min.), es gibt einige interressante Orte in der Umgebung (Alcobaca, Caldas da Rainha, Obidos, Santarem....)

A experiência na casa superou todas as expectativas. As fotos não fazem jus ao que a casa é, é muito melhor presencial do que nas fotos. Otima casa para desfrutar de sossego e privacidade. As divisões da casa são excelentes, jardim com churrasqueira e a piscina é ideal para crianças e desfrutar de bons banhos. De carro pode visitar locais como, salinas de Rio Maior, Óbidos, caldas da rainha, e lagoas e praias. Apenas necessita de modernizar equipamento de televisão.

Localização fantástica, isolada mas a 20 minutos de tudo. Casa muito cómoda com boas áreas interiores e exteriores. Ideal place for rest and relaxation

The property was very clean on arrival and easy to find using the directions provided. There is a beautiful view from the front and the village itself is very quiet. We were able to use the pool but we did have some poor weather in our time there. The house had everything we needed and we used Caldas da Rainha for our shopping because we had been there before and we passed the town on many trips. We visited lots of places, some we had seen before such as Obidos, Batalha and Lisbon and then we went to some smaller towns such as Rio Maior, Golega and Alparcia. The area is easy to get around using the motorways (but you need to factor in tolls) or some of the main roads. We visited three local restaurants too. This is a lovely place for rest and relaxation with the option to visit local towns if you want to. Thank you to Dave and Karen for assisting us very quickly with any queries we had.

Familienurlaub

Wir haben den Aufenthalt im Haus sehr genossen. Tolles Haus mit allem was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Sehr ruhig und nette Nachbarn. Man kann viele Sehenswürdigkeiten von dort aus relativ schnell mit dem Auto besuchen. Wir waren alle fünf sehr glücklich und sind entspannt aus dem Urlaub zurückgekommen. Ideal für Kinder. Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen.
