Feel relaxed and well taken care of in a Birdstone Nest.
This cozy travel accommodation is situated in the trendy downtown Beltline with amazing views of the city and mountains. Only three blocks away from the world famous Stampede grounds. Discover many fantastic restaurants, pubs and hot spots within short walking distance on 17th Ave, Stephen Ave or right out the door on 1st Street. Enjoy a revitalizing walk along the nearby Elbow River or take an adventurous road trip to Banff or Drumheller.
This spacious corner apartment is located on the 15th floor of the `Colours by Battistella` building. It has a kitchen stocked with what you need for basic cooking. The open floor plan continues through the dining area into a big living room space and on to a workstation and yoga meditation area. The bathroom and bedroom are just off of the living room. The bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed with luxurious linens for a great nights sleep.
The most noticeable feature are the floor to ceiling windows that span for 60 feet along all the outside walls. If you come during Stampede (early July), you can watch the fireworks right from the suite!
You`ll have access to the common rooftop patio that features colourful, artistic `sunbrellas` and extensive raised gardens.
Feel free to contact us anytime during normal daytime hours. Whether it`s to help solve a problem or for advice on where to eat or things to do in and around Calgary.
I will also be available during nighttime hours for emergencies only.
Colours is situated on the edge of both Victoria Park and in the Beltline.
Victoria Park is an up-and-coming area, with converted warehouses on 1st Street SW, now home to cool clothes designers and offbeat home decor shops. Eateries include casual cafes, laid-back global spots and Jewish delis, while bars and small music venues get lively after dark. The Saddledome arena hosts concerts and Calgary Flames hockey games, and the annual Calgary Stampede rodeo takes place at Stampede Park.
The hip Beltline area is bounded by 17th Avenue SW, with cool boutiques selling fashion, retro furniture, vinyl and quirky gifts. Dining spans trendy taco joints, locavore eateries and Korean restaurants, while nightlife encompasses craft beer pubs, live music venues and dance clubs. There are landscaped gardens at Central Memorial Park.
City transit (C-Train and bus) are available and stops are conveniently located nearby. Taxis, Ubers, bike and scooter rentals are also options. You`ll find that you`ll be able to walk to many of the local amenities. There are so many convenient restaurants, pubs, stores and things to do in close proximity.
Safety/Security: For compliance with management standards, the property uses an exterior doorbell camera and a privacy-safe indoor noise monitor. These devices help prevent unauthorized activity and do not record conversations.
We have one reserved parkade spot included in your stay but if you have visitors, paid street parking is available.

* Parties of any kind are strictly prohibited. A doorbell cam and decibel detector are on the property to prevent parties from taking place. If this rule is broken, your stay will be cancelled immediately without refund. Understand that the party restriction is a worldwide Airbnb mandate.
* The person booking must be 25+ years old. Additional guests can be any age. Special considerations can be made but must discuss with host prior to booking.
* Free parking in assigned underground spot. Risk of getting towed if parked anywhere else in parkade.
* No undisclosed guests or visitors allowed. ID must be provided by all guests except for minors.
* Early check-in and late check out requests will be considered. The following charges apply: First hr=free, 1+hrs=$20, 2+hrs=$40, 3+hrs=additional night fee.
* No throwing anything whatsoever over the balcony.
* Be very respectful of neighbours. It is a residential building with owners and long term renters living next door.
* If garbage is left in any common spaces (stairwell, foyer, etc.), the responsible party will be traced and the STR owner fined. This fine may be charged back to the guest. Please be considerate of the Colours residents and help keep our building clean and welcoming.
* Sign the `Tenant Undertaking Agreement` after you arrive. It is an HOA requirement in the Colours building.
* In compliance with the city and condo bylaws you will be asked to provide a valid e-mail address after reservation is confirmed.
* Notify hosts immediately of any damage; This is in order to acquire a timely replacement for the next guests arriving.
* Although we don’t require you to clean the condo, we do kindly ask that you leave it in a reasonably tidy state.
* When entering and exiting the parking garage, please watch that trespassers don’t slip in. Please inform us if someone does sneak in so we can deal with it.
* Absolutely NO eating in the bedroom. The bedding is white. Please be considerate with hair dye and makeup too.
* NO SMOKING IN CONDO OR ON BALCONY (including vapes). Please smoke outside of the building away from the entrance. IF the cleaner smells any smoke after you checkout a fee of $200 will be charged to you.
SAFETY
The Guest making the reservation accepts all responsibility for the safety, actions and liability of their group.
The host is in no way responsible for any accidents, injuries or damage to the building that may occur during the stay. Any and all associated liability is the responsibility of the guest
There is a fire extinguisher under the sink in the kitchen and a first aid kit under the sink in the bathroom.
Applicable fees:
⚠ $250 fee for lost key fob
⚠ $250 fee for excessive noise/noise complaints from neighbours
⚠ $200 fee for smoking in the apartment or on the balcony
⚠ $200 fee for violation of the house rules
⚠ $500 for any signs of a party.
⚠ Replacement fee equal to value for damaged property.
