Perfect spot
We visited to watch the eclipse and found the perfect spot for that, but loved the house and its location. Had hoped we could walk into town but not the easiest road. Didn't really matter. Calico Rock is a great town to visit. Great community, lovely people and shops, cafe, bar. Beautiful countryside surrounds it with good walks not far away. Just could have done with a few bits of instructions for the cooker for example, but Steven was very responsive when we messaged him. Hot tub didn't get used much, but great when we did. Isolated location apart from neighbours behind, but they were lovely people and we enjoyed our chats. Not the host's fault, but Arkansas needs to get recycling! It is not a state generally chosen for holidays from the UK but we're glad we did and the Ozarks are a wonderful place to stay.

This house is clean, comfortable, private, and has beautiful views of the White River. We had a relaxing stay and would recommend this rental to anyone who needs an escape, but with all of the comforts of home.

Family Getaway
We had a wonderful getaway for NYE. We only left the cabin the first night to get groceries at the local grocery store and then never left again our entire stay. The cabin has gorgeous views, is well stocked with everything we needed and much more. The hot tub was perfect for our family of four. We thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit in the backyard to make s’mores and just sit around all day. Our lab loved walking around the property and playing fetch in the yard. There were some beautiful walks/hikes right on the property with rock walls and bluffs for stunning pictures. We made every meal in the cabin and had tons of time for family games. We brought our own games but realized there were some in the cabin as well. We also left one for future guests to enjoy. Laundry room was nice so we didn’t go home with anything dirty. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to end 2023 and bring in 2024. We will definitely be keeping this cabin on our list if we ever need another serene escape from IN.

Love this place!

Mayberry with a Million Dollar View!
We loved our time at this cabin! Although there were only two of us, the cabin is extremely spacious with a huge great room and an additional family room downstairs. A gigantic dining table makes this cabin also perfect for large groups. The kitchen is well stocked with all that one needs to cook, bake etc. successfully. The hot tub was spotlessly clean and provided a beautiful view of the White River, as did the deck above it. There is also a lovely stone fire pit area. We loved the quaint town of Calico Rock and all of its history including the ghost town of Peppersauce. We hiked to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain which is visible from the cabin. We fished twice with Jenkins at the dock, once with Tim as our guide and once renting a boat—-catching 36 rainbow trout! Within a short distance one can visit Ozark Craft State Park, a cool dulcimer factory and shop, Blanchard Cavern and spring, Rush ghost town, Northfork Lake, and much more. He cabin sits outside of town and is very quiet; we loved our time here❤️

You're near town, but isolated among the trees with a view of the White river and a mountain background. It's a great get away from whatever. Your in the mountains roads are good, but lots of slow curves so don't be in a hurry.

My family had an amazing time. The cabin is spacious, the view of the river is lovely, and the city of Calico Rock was delightful. The host was very accommodating and the check in and check out process was a breeze.

Outstanding
The beauty and peacefulness were just what was needed and made our hearts happy. We loved the spaciousness, comfort and ambiance of this mountain home. The wraparound porch and deck was perfect and enjoyed for numerous hours of conversation. We would love to return at some point and highly recommend this spot for a relaxing retreat.

The cabin is huge ! The pictures don't do it any justice. The cabin contained everything anyone would need for a great stay. Fully stocked kitchen, amazing hot tub, and a perfect fire pit for nighttime.

Fantastic Cabin Experience
My family and I stayed at this cabin for a spring break getaway. Steve sent us excellent tips for what restaurants were around, as well as, kayaking, boating and fishing information. The cabin was spacious and the hot tub was such a great feature to have, especially when the temps were in the 20s & 30s at night. We would definitely recommend this cabin to friends and we will be back ourselves!

Perfect for what we were looking for - between holidays chillin’ out family time. Did not leave the property. Ate in the entire time. The mattresses in two of the bedrooms could have been firmer. Just old or were they supposed to be super soft? The oven quit working on day three.

Just superb!
From the fantastic view to the nearby conveniences, this house was terrific! Very close to downtown CLoco Rock and close enough to many attractions, including Blanchard Springs. We had freeze warnings for two days, and the house was warm and cozy. I would recommend it to anyone, any time of year!

Outstanding Vacation Rental
We loved it. The house was just what my family needed. It was the perfect accommodation for 3 couples and a 2 year old, and our dogs. The privacy of the property made things even better. No noise from neighbors or traffic, just us and the beautiful landscape. The local coffee house is also highly recommended, ten times better than any Starbucks. We saw several deer in mornings and evenings from our view on the back porch. The weather cooperated enough that we could enjoy the porches and hot tub during July. I highly recommend staying at this location and would love to visit again. Thank you for everything.

My fur baby Fred and I had a very nice stay at this secluded cabin overlooking the bluff and White River in Arkansas. It's a lovely home with plenty of room for several families to stay at one time. I was looking for some downtime in a place Fred could roam off leash. This place was more than we needed but had everything we wanted. Steve was easy to communicate with during the booking process. He had everything outlined in his check-in material. He also left several suggestions for eating and playing in the area. The house was just as nice as described with a view, hot tub, and full size washer and dryer. My only suggestion to Steve would be that the hot tub while nice and functioning, could do with a deep cleaning. Some previous users may have forgotten to clean the sand off their feet before using. I noticed a build-up at the filter/drain. I skimmed the best I could and it didn't stop me from a couple nice long soaks! Thanks for all the thick towels and for the use of your wonderful cabin. Fred thanks you too.

Too many problems not addressed.
Hot tub had too much chlorine, jets didn't work and don'tdare asked for them to check it because they never showed. door knobs falling off or hard to use, grill has a hole through the bottom and the burners will not light, mattress has dips in it, asked for help on my 2nd day at the cabin, claimed someone came but I was gone and the problem was not resolved, I never heard anything more from the host. Just an FYI, I sent a message outlining these problems earlier to see if he’d respond, I still haven’t heard anything from him so this review is being posting as a result of his lack of response on the problems and communications.

As other guests have mentioned in their reviews I am very responsive to my guests. The hot tub was serviced at 12:45. She drained some of the water out and refilled to dilute. While I am not there to inspect the grill I have a new charcoal grill being delivered. Thanks for letting me know of the problems and I'm sorry they impacted your stay. Steve
