“A beautiful farmhouse shaped like a fortress just outside of Calitri. The host is very accommodating and helped me make some reservations despite not speaking English/my Italian being no good. Waking up to the birds was a treat, the bed was cozy and the shower worked well. It would be fun to have a bunch of friends stay there for a week. Definitely requires a car, I thought maybe one could walk in and out of Calitri but it's an enormous vertical distance, it would take hours.”

A ten minute walk to the central piazza and some amazing food and gelato. The room was clean, well prepared, and spacious. “The breakfast is very bad. The hotel is fine for a one-night stay and then continuing your trip.”

“Ensemble très soigné et d’excellent goût. Très calme, agréable et bien équipé. Lit très confortable et petit déjeuner généreux. Hautement recommandable.”
