"Car parking was fine, staff lovely, room need a good hoover near window very dirty on carpet, asked for a bed make up next day didn't get one, rooms could do with a paint again as lots of marks on walls near bed. Bathroom bit miss matched in decor, pity wasn't a bigger shower as very small. Over all the stay was good, but for the money we paid breakfast should have been included. "

Some of the bathroom fittings/radiator etc are a bit dated, considering this was a deluxe room.

"Lovely Hotel. Rooms are comfortable and beautifully presented. Bathroom spacious with nice shower and fittings.
Breakfast in a well set out dining room and the menu is very good as is the breakfast.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. "

"Each room is individually appointed giving them unique feels like one would find as a guest in a home. En suite bathrooms were updated and very clean. It was a thrill to stay in an historic home I just wish there had been more information available about its history. "

"Great staff
Very warm welcome and attentive throughout the stay.
Breakfast had a huge variety, always hot and never run out of anything.
Very comfortable bed. Could do with a choice of pillows in there room. The sister pillows were also very soft.
Yes some of the interior parts of the rooms could do with some TLC, but doesn't take away from a fantastic hotel, spa, golf course and restaurant. They had a large 21st party one night, but that didn't affect us, and could not be heard on the rooms.
Little touches were brilliant, we stayed with a dog and they had door signs for the staff whether they could come in or not whilst the dog was in there.
Also welcome flavoured water and Scottish Tablet
Cannot wait to come back!"

"Hotel facilities are excellent, staff friendly and attentive, food very good. To be super critical we stayed in room 113 and spent large amounts of time listening to the floor boards creak from the room above. Ceiling down lighter with holes needed to be filled in and put next to the water fridge in the grill on our evening meal meaning we were constantly disturbed. These are minor as the hotel is great. "

"The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is good. The wi fi was a little slow on my last day but otherwise very good. The disabled access bathroom was excellent in my room. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back."
