TL;DR: we had the best vacation in years here!
Long Story:
We were 2 families (9 in total) and stayed for a week. The house is about a 25 minute drive to Cambridge where you have food, groceries and a Walmart for supplies. The house, dock and property location were the primary reasons we chose to stay here, as its very quiet and remote but close enough to go out to dinner. One tip: as you're driving to and from Cambridge, keep your eyes open for deer as they can jump out in front of you in a pack.
The house itself was great, stocked with toys, games, fishing poles, crab traps, kayaks and bikes. You'll need to bring your own bedsheets, towels and supplies like toilet paper and paper towels. The owner, Alan, is very responsive and communicates all of this in his welcome letter. We brought our own fishing gear and right off the dock you can catch dozen of Perch and Spot in the early morning and evening which can be used as live bait for larger fish in the Chesapeake. We rented a boat from Slaughter Creek Marina and they delivered and picked up the boat to the house if you rent for several days, otherwise it's about a 45 drive to them.
The bedrooms are comfortable and there's air conditioning in all of them. Wifi was great and cell service was fine on ATT, Verizon and TMobile. Watching the sun rise in the morning from the dock is amazing!
If you're looking for a place away from the crowds but close to a city, you can't go wrong staying here!
