「Lantern Cottage was exactly as described. It was very clean and comfortable. The layout and facilities had been very well thought out. The shared courtyard was lovely to sit out in the sun. We were able to store our bikes there too, which we rode on the nearby Camel trail. It was peaceful even though we were almost in the centre of Padstow. There were numerous bars and restaurants nearby all serving delicious food. There is also a Spar shop 1minute walk away handy for last minute supplies....

「We arrived at the hotel late and upon arrival had a sign saying under renovations. No pool/spa/gym/food. Room was ok. However interconnecting door unlocked which puzzled the staff as to why we would want to lock it. 2nd night bar then closed and had to request more milk pots as no laundry service/restock had taken place. Overall disappointed with the stay and feel it should be closed during renovations. The resort could be amazing but needs a lot of repairs. For what was a basic room...

「Room could have been cleaner. Hair in tub still, fingernail clipping behind door. Restaurant was very busy and we needed reservations to eat. Was not pointed out upon arrival. Restaurant ran out of some menu items by the time we could eat. Food was meh. This hotel is farther away from city center and to get to more eating places is about 20 minute walk. Good for getting in and out of each day, not good for food when we got back. Breakfast was ok, but they were slow to replace items that...

「Could do with a hoover under bunk beds. Didn’t have all of the advertised vegetables with roast dinner and wasn’t offered any alternatives or discount. Service in restaurant and bar slow at times. Beautiful view of PolZeath beach . Sofas could do with a clean as water stains on them and a few more cushions on sofa would be a nice extra.Overall very pleased with our stay and would return again.」

「The property was a total catfish. The place smelled like mildew and the place was untidy. Also a huge mold spot on the wall. The family who owned and ran it was nice so I don’t want to take away from it but the place is really really bad. 」

「We had a lovely stay here, the lock wasn’t working from the outside but was fixed within half an hour, brilliant! Beds are comfortable and the sofa. A good size cottage the bathroom was abit tight but there are public showers on site aswell would definitely come back here. There’s a park on site aswell, laundry room a bar and reception are very helpful. I did have to drive to places Harlyn beach has calmer sea and was beautiful, few minutes drive away and treyarnon rock pool beach also a few...

「back of settee collapsed when autistc son on it, i repaired it, but it needs repair it is dangerous. I told sykes NO response very poor. Also implied is 2 minutes walk from beach is 8 minute drive at least. 」

So we had a great stay in their cosy ‘Little Willow’ cottage, a great retreat, with all the amenities/comforts you could need, along with some lovely, thoughtful extras provided! Watch out for cute little Roo, their friendly ittle dog! ✨ 」

「Overall the stay was great. Perfect location for the drive to many close beaches. The lodge was clean and comfortable perfect for a short break. The only thing we would recommend is the number of the lodge and campsite name be added to the booking information as we found it difficult to locate. Other than that thank you for a pleasant stay.」
