The hosts are ultra welcoming and friendly. And gave me some great tips on places to visit, including nearby scenic walks.
Plus Simon cooks a top English breakfast and Paula does a great job of keeping the place in order.
They allow dogs, although best to check with them before booking to make sure they will get on with their dogs ok.
The nearby road is noisy early morning, but only if you keep the window fully open."
"Lantern Cottage was exactly as described. It was very clean and comfortable. The layout and facilities had been very well thought out.
The shared courtyard was lovely to sit out in the sun. We were able to store our bikes there too, which we rode on the nearby Camel trail.
It was peaceful even though we were almost in the centre of Padstow. There were numerous bars and restaurants nearby all serving delicious food. There is also a Spar shop 1minute walk away handy for last minute supplies....
"Superb location, metres from the slipway and harbour. Close to costal footpath and walk to Port Gaverne, restaurant, pubs and cafes.
Very cosy cottage with wood burner.
A few minor things like no fridge light, a few cobwebs but nothing to put anyone off.
Well equipped kitchen and rear shared courtyard.

"What a wonderful cottage! We had a fantastic stay here and would recommend it to anyone wanting a family holiday in a location perfect for exploring Cornwall. The accommodation has lots of room - plenty for our four, and the attention to detail is amazing, from the sheets to the towels and not least the excellent scones provided on our arrival - best we have ever tasted! The hosts make sure that you have everything you need and that there is an electric charging point just topped off our Wishlist! Although we didn't need them, there was both a dishwasher and a washing machine - and wonderful filtered water on tap! During our stay, we visited Lands End, Newquay, Padstow, Tintagel and St. Austell and more and all were a convenient drive away. The check-in details and directions were sent by email and were very clear. Overall, this was the perfect holiday cottage and we hope we can get back next year! You will not be disappointed..."
