"It was unclear until we checked in that there wasn't a hotel restaurant but that it was a shared venue. At check-in we didn't receive any help with our luggage despite me being a solo mother with a young child. We repeatedly only received one face washer in the bathroom. I asked for an additional one on the second day but when the rooms were cleaned on the third day again we received only one face washer. No idea why!"

"The amenities were quite well-kept. The room was spacious and clean, enough for me traveling on my own. The bathroom was clean and body wash, shampoo and conditioner was available. Location was quite convenient, a few stops away from the main city centre via light rail. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay. "

"Everything was excellent. The bed was the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in. Very clean and spacious. The staff were most helpful and the pool was lovely. "

"The hotel is in a convenient location, which makes it easy to get around and access nearby shop and restaurant. However, the overall experience is let down by the very old-fashioned fit-out. The bathroom in particular feels outdated, with a shower over the bath rather than a separate unit, which isn’t very practical. The vanity tap was also difficult to use, making it frustrating to properly open and close. As for the advertised garden view, it was quite disappointing—more like an empty patch of grass than anything scenic. Overall, while the location is a strong point, the facilities and presentation could really use an upgrade."

"Everything about this place is perfect. It’s incredibly quiet. The furnishings are terrific. Coffee machine is great. They’ve connected the TVs now to make them accessible for streaming services. The staff for amazing always. Parking is incredibly easy and that’s not the case across Canberra. It’s clean and very, very comfortable."

"The room was not clean, the linen was smelly, the staff was not helpful. We booked accommodation for 4 people for 3 nights, I went to reception and told them the linen was smelly, the staff gave me new linen and told me to change it. Everyday we have to ask reception for toilet paper. It is first time staying at Forest Hotel and Apartment and last time too. Will nerves come back here. Would not recommend for anybody to stay here."
