My family got upgraded from a 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom apartment. It was such a nice penthouse apartment and we really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely come back to stay if we visited Canberra again!

Best hotel I've ever stay! Beautiful interior and exterior design, friendly staff, exceptional restaurant and fully equipped apartment. The first hotel I've seen provides Aesop body cares!

Overall, quite a nice and modern hotel. Friendly staff. Good food. However, we stayed in the apartments and there is NO AIR-CONDITIONING! The room was constantly hot and stuffy even in the middle of winter. We were told to open doors and windows to cool the room, which at this price point is outrageous. Very disappointing.

We got a One bed apartment with Balcony and Lake views on the 11th floor, Perfect ! Check in was so easy and helpful . A walk or Uber to anywhere in the city is cheap and easy and downstairs bar was cost warm ( fire) with a lovely cocktail menu. I highly recommend staying here and we will be back.

It's always a pleasure to enter the cosy reception area on a cold Canberra day. I was given an apartment with a fold out bed first. Felt like I would be in camping and not in a hotel. Called the reception and verbalised my concern. I got a wonderful upgrade without hesitation. Stay was wonderful. Didn't get the welcome drinks that were advertised but forgot about to ask for it....Had a very pleasant stay

From the moment you pull up in the car at this hotel you realize it will have some challenges. All the spots are taken in front of the hotel at the 1/2 hour parking area nearest the check in and were for our entire three night stay. Instead you need to park in the garage below the building and try and figure out the maze into the hotel with no signage and poor lighting. (Don't even try to use the Wilson parking App, it doesn't work) The rooms face the Lake and Capital, which is excellent, but the windows are of poor design so the expressway below is very loud in your room. The lighting in the room is very dim, once you figure out what the unlabeled switches do, and you will need to use a flashlight for a number of the parts of the room. The area around the hotel has a limited number of restaurant options and the walk into town is a mile, the Capital is 2.5 mile walk. Public transport is not nearby.

Lovely place

Amazing service and view. Thank you to the surprise plate of beautiful treats for the anniversary couple that we're staying with us. Apartment was spacious and far more interesting than the usual room in other hotels.

The view shown in photo on this site has a great view facing south over lake. The room i was given faced west to a communications tower. Facing the afternoon sun it would have been uncomfortably hot given theres no air conditioning. Thankfully when I complained they gave me a better room - like the picture

Highway traffic noise.

First time visit. Although the description days Lake View, it’s more like in front of the busy highway. If you're light sleepers, I would not recommend this as it gets quite noisy at nights due to fast traffic right outside.

Prior to arrival no one answered the phone while trying over 3 hours to confirm or booking , Great looking building but the lack of service at front desk check in along with the terrible effort within the room ie furnishing is all disappointing , we have stayed in both the hotel and apartment style at the Ovolo Canberra We have recently also stayed at the QT hotel across the road ... both deserve a poor review We will give the Hyatt a go next time
