We had a wonderful stay at Cécile’s gîte. The setting is beautiful and very peaceful, surrounded by countryside and woodland, with a lovely garden and pool area that the children really enjoyed. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped, with plenty of space for our family. It worked very well as a base for exploring the nearby villages, especially Monpazier and the surrounding Dordogne area.Cécile was friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We really appreciated the calm setting, the pool, and the relaxed family-friendly feel of the property.A lovely place for a quiet countryside holiday. We would happily recommend it!

Rural tranquility close to Monpazier

Excellent. This gite is locted in beautiful rural setting at the end of an access road with no neighbours (but note that an adjacent farm building is being converted into a gite by the owners for separate use - and I am sure that will be lovely too). The property has been converted in a very tasteful way and is very well equipped. And the heated pool was a definite plus for us. The owners Cecile and Laurent are lovely - excellent communications and support. Monpazier is nearby, less than 5 minutes by car, and is, for us, the most beautiful and interesting of all the many bastide towns in the area, such an Monflanquin, Villereal, Belves. To eat out, we recommend Chez Minou in Monpazier (really good pizza, and great service). All in all a great stay and we highly recommend this gite.
