We loved the location. The inn had everything we needed, and the breakfasts were delicious. Staff were warm and inviting. Paula, the owner, was especially helpful in recommending restaurants for dinner!

My family has been vacationed in this part of New Jersey since the late 1950s, so I have stayed in quite a few different hotels and BnBs. I chose the Bedford Inn based on the reviews I read, its location, and photos of food I saw on social media. My visit exceeded all my expectations, and this is the only place I will stay on future trips to the Cape May area. The breakfasts featured delicious, inventive twists on classic dishes, my room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and I appreciated all the storage space, especially in the newly-remodeled, gorgeous bathroom. There was plenty of parking on the property as well as on the street, and I was also grateful for the keyless entry—one less thing to worry about! Paula is a gracious host, and I already told my Cape May-loving friends that they need to put this inn on their itineraries.

Place is in a great location and very charming Breakfast was delicious and the wine and cheese and homemade cookies was such a nice touch in the afternoon. Bed was comfy, bathroom was spacious and updated and room was very clean. Decorations for Christmas were lovely. Paula runs a tight ship and keeps the place top notch. If you are looking for a great B&B this is the one!

We loved the Bedford Inn because we had early morning starts well before their normal breakfast time and when we explained our predicament the Bedford Inn manager said no problem and proceeded to give us boxed breakfasts for both days of our stay and deliver them at 5:30am. Now that is what I call going above and beyond for your customers. Thank you Bedford Inn.

The staff at the Bedford Inn was very friendly. The breakfasts were tasty and had a nice variety for our tastes. The room was not very comfortably arranged and only had one chair in it. The bed was extremely uncomfortable as the mattress was so soft, we left with aching backs. There wasn't much storage in the room either.

Beautiful babymoon getaway
We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend for a babymoon and had the most wonderful visit. Not our first time to Cape May, but our first time staying at Bedford Inn and it exceeded expectations. Walking distance to beach, beautiful breakfast each morning, and felt very relaxed drinking coffee and reading books on the porch outside our room. Very attentive host- the afternoon wine and cheese / iced tea and scones was a lovely touch after a day in the sun. Powerful AC unit! We look forward to returning some day!

Our stay at Bedford Inn was fantastic! The owner Paula takes amazing care of her guests and provides special touches through delicious breakfast offerings and daily afternoon treats or happy hour. The property itself is gorgeous and kept in pristine condition. The bed was super comfortable! The property also offers beach chairs, towels and beach tags. My husband and I come to Cape May every year for a getaway and Bedford Inn has been our favorite place to stay. Can’t wait to return next year!

A Pleasant Stay
The Bedford Inn is in very good condition especially for an 1800's building. The location was in walking distance to the Square, beach and restaurants.

Good experience
Location was excellent, close to many dining locations and retail:; a stone’s throw to the beach. Facility was well kept and cared for. Bed was comfy and bathroom was clean and spacious. The owner runs things like a clock. Towels and beach chairs were available. It was also nice be able to eat outside. Breakfasts were good; savory one day, sweet the next. Guest were expected to show up on time. The same applies to the 4:00 snack. Although ok, they were a little wanting. A tray of cookies and coffee seems a bit thin for 20+ guests. Likewise 2 bottles of wine and a tray of assorted cheeses and sliced sausage hardly seems enough. Small things, but rubs one the wry way.
