The hotel itself is clean, and the common areas are well maintained. One thing to keep in mind is that the location is quite remote — it’s not walkable to any nearby attractions or shops, so transportation is necessary to get around. Overall, it’s a nice property

Wonderful hotel, but location is remote

Stayed for 3 nights in June 2025 prior to a group tour. The hotel is great and all of the staff members were lovely and kind! The only negative about this hotel is that it is essentially at the end of a dead end road (there is a security fence surrounding the hotel), so you have to follow the road back out to the main street to go anywhere. That being said, we walked around quite a bit, even at night, and found the area very safe.

Great hotel, while a little away from waterfront, free ferry and hotel shuttle, both easy to use. Great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. We had a corner room, facing lions head, lots of room which we loved. They did try to 'upgrade' us to a suite facing the dock but another customer behind us said don't do it, noisy through night and hard to then move from another room. Good tip from their bad experience for us all!!

The AC Mariott was exceptionally clean, the facility was well kept and the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent providing a wide range of food items to choose from. We had dinner one night at the hotel, and the food was excellent. The only drawback was finding the hotel, missed the road a couple of times. Also offering a shuttle to the V&A waterfront more frequently would be helpful.

The hotel is well appointed and conveniently located on the Cape Town waterfront. Our room was very large, clean and quiet. The bar and restaurant served excellent cocktails and food, but what really made our stay perfect was the staff. From the front desk to the doormen to the waiters and bartenders, everyone was cheerful, helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend AC Hotel Marriott.
