Great Place!

Enjoyed our stay. The property is so fresh, clean and just perfect. Better than the pics in the listing. The host responds immediately to any requests. It could not have been better. We will definitely stay again!!

Marine corps reunion

This was an absolutely awesome stay. The house was clean and in great condition. I could go on for hours on the shower. It’s an amazing shower. Everything about our stay in this house was incredible and very easy to reserve and check in to.

If you are looking for a place outside of Carbondale that is close to some winery's this is the location. This property is located in a small town but it is very quiet and neighbors are not an issue. It is very nicely decorated and Steve was very quick and easy to work with. We would definitely look to stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Excellent!

The location was perfect--right in the middle of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail. Steve thought of everything, from snacks to body wash--even contact solution in case we had forgotten ours. You could tell everything had been recently renovated and was bright and clean. And the beds were super comfy too. We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet Comfort

My husband and I, along with his sister and brother in law. We had a great time. The house was slightly smaller than I envisioned, but still perfect for our weekend away. The town was peaceful and pretty. Very near some really nice overlook scenery. The Havisham Burbon Bar was literally across the street and down block. Don't miss this place, even if you don't think you like burbon. The best feature of the house is for sure the shower. Huge, walk in shower with a rain shower head and second detachable shower head as well. And...and...HOT WATER. As a parent of many children I NEVER get any hot showers. This was bliss. Would absolutely stay here again.

AMAZING STAY ON THE WINE TRAIL

We had the most incredible stay at the Red House on the Alto Pass Wine Trail for Thanksgiving! From the moment we arrived, check-in was seamless, and the host was absolutely amazing—so kind, responsive, and available for anything we needed.The house itself was charming and cozy, with everything we could have asked for. And the town? Quaint, picturesque, and brimming with charm,it felt like stepping into a storybook!This stay made our holiday extra special, and we can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

Nice property

Everything was very nice! Beautiful bathroom, but it was made for tall people. At 5'2", I could not see my face in the mirror, nor could I reach the shower head to change settings.

The inside of the property is nice mostly. Light switches are a bit confusing and some seemed to do nothing. A lot of light bulbs were missing. There is no outdoor area worth using. The patio chairs have huge holes in them and the grill did not work.

Perfect in every way!

This was exactly what we needed for our trip!! My partner and I are rock climbers, we visit this area often to climb at the Holy Boulders in Pomona, and we came up at this time to see the eclipse. Usually we camp or stay up in Carbondale, but we are already looking at coming back here for our next trip! Alto Pass is so cute and cozy, and it was so nice to come back here and recharge after long days of climbing and hiking in the woods. Steve is an awesome host, and his spot is fully equipped with supplies. The kitchen is fantastic!! Loved the porch right outside to enjoy the nice spring weather. We’ve already told many of our friends about this place and raved about how great it is. We didn’t check out any of the wineries, but everything is in such close proximity and looks so great that I can see why people visit for that. HIGHLY recommend staying here!!!!
